Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Musik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menyelenggarakan Simfoni UNNES 2026 di Auditorium Prof. Wuryanto, Kota Semarang, pada Minggu, 21 Juni 2026. Kegiatan ini digelar dalam rangka memperingati Hari Musik Dunia sekaligus menjadi wadah kolaborasi dalam melestarikan kekayaan musik Nusantara.

Kegiatan ini terdiri dari dua rangkaian utama, yaitu workshop musik yang diikuti siswa SMA serta pertunjukan orkestra kolaboratif yang menggabungkan musik keroncong dan dangdut. Dalam workshop tersebut, peserta mendapatkan pengalaman langsung bermain alat musik, berlatih ansambel, serta berdiskusi bersama dosen dan praktisi musik.

Puncak acara menghadirkan lebih dari 70 musisi yang terdiri dari dosen, mahasiswa, alumni, pelajar, dan mitra seni. Mereka tampil dalam satu panggung dengan menampilkan aransemen musik keroncong dan dangdut dalam format orkestra yang inovatif.

Wakil Rektor III UNNES, Prof. Dr. Ngabiyanto, M.Si., menyampaikan bahwa musik memiliki kekuatan universal dalam menyatukan masyarakat. “Musik merupakan bahasa universal yang mampu menyatukan berbagai perbedaan. Momentum Hari Musik Dunia ini menjadi pengingat penting untuk terus mengeksplorasi dan melestarikan kekayaan musik daerah,” ujarnya.

Ia juga menegaskan bahwa civitas akademika memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan musik Nusantara agar dapat dikenal di tingkat global serta meningkatkan reputasi bangsa.

Sementara itu, Koordinator Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Musik FBS UNNES, Dr. Abdul Rachman, S.Pd., M.Pd., menekankan bahwa inovasi menjadi kunci agar musik tradisional tetap relevan. “Keroncong dan dangdut merupakan bagian identitas musik Indonesia. Dengan dikemas dalam format orkestra dan melibatkan generasi muda, kami ingin menunjukkan bahwa musik tradisional tetap menarik dan layak dilestarikan,” jelasnya.

Ia menambahkan bahwa kolaborasi lintas elemen dalam kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat ekosistem musik nasional sekaligus menumbuhkan kecintaan generasi muda terhadap budaya Indonesia. “Semangat kolaborasi ini menjadi investasi penting bagi masa depan musik Nusantara,” pungkasnya.

Melalui Simfoni UNNES 2026, UNNES kembali menegaskan komitmennya dalam mendukung pengembangan seni, memperluas kolaborasi, serta melestarikan budaya musik Indonesia di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Kegiatan ini mendukung Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4 tentang pendidikan berkualitas, SDG 11 tentang kota dan komunitas berkelanjutan, serta SDG 17 tentang kemitraan global.
