Kolaborasikan Empat Cerita Daerah, “Malim Jonggrang” Sukses Pukau Ratusan Penonton

Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menggelar drama dengan mengkolaborasikan empat cerita daerah sekaligus pada Minggu malam (5/11), bertempat di gedung B6 Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni UNNES.

“Untuk gelar karya kali ini, kami mengemasnya kedalam suatu drama berbahasa inggris yang mengangkat kearifan lokal cerita nusantara diantaranya Malin Kondang, Danau Toba, Timun Mas, dan Roro Jonggrang (Candi Prambanan)”, jelas Ketua Panitia Irma Mulya Setyarini.

Menurut mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris ini, drama dikemas dengan memasukkan unsur-unsur komedi sehingga menjadi lebih menarik dan berkualitas.

Pagelaran yang disutradarai oleh dosen Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris Bambang Purwanto SS MHum ini berhasil menyita perhatian ratusan penonton.

Selain drama, kegiatan juga dimeriahkan oleh beberapa bintang tamu yang menampilkan musik akustik dan paduan suara.

Ketua Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris UNNES Dr Rudi Hartono SS MPd mengapresiasi pagelaran karya yang melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa ini. Menurutnya, cerita dari drama tersebut dapat menjadi pembelajaran bagi generasi muda.

Sebut saja dari cerita Malin Kondang, tambah Rudi, kita dapat belajar untuk tidak menjadi angkuh dan sombong, dari cerita Danau Toba kita belajar tentang kerendahan hati dan sikap mau menerima, serta amanat lainnya yang memang sesuai dengan kearifan nusantara kita.

“Selain sebagai sarana ekspresi akademik  dan ajang latihan bagi mahasiswa, pagelaran juga  diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu bergelut di dunia seni, utamanya seni peran”, pungkas Rudi.
