Kerja Sama Lima Universitas, Jurusan Kimia UNNES Sukses Gelar Joint Conference of Chemistry

Bekerja sama dengan empat universtas lain, Jurusan Kimia FMIPA Universitas Negeri Semarang sukses menyelenggarakan seminar internasional yakni 12th Joint Conference of Chemistry (JCC 2017) Selasa (19/9) di Aston Hotel and Convention Centre.

Tema yang diusung kali ini adalah contributions of chemical sciences, engineering, education, and technology in solving global challenges.

Tema ini selaras dengan upaya UNNES dalam rangka menjadi Universitas Bertaraf Internasional dengan mengedepankan bidang ilmu pengetahuan, teknik, pendidikan, dan teknologi.

Joint Conference of Chemistry atau JCC merupakan bentuk kerjasama lima universitas dalam bentuk konsorsium bidang Kimia Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) dan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW).

JCC dilaksanakan setiap tahun dan Jurusan Kimia UNNES bertindak penyelenggara pada tahun ini. Pelaksanaan JCC oleh Jurusan Kimia UNNES ini bertepatan dengan dilaksanakannya Seminar Internasional oleh FMIPA UNNES yakni 4th International Conference on Mathematics, Science and Education (ICMSE 2017) di tempat yang sama pada tanggal 18-19 Septermber 2017.

Ketua panitia JCC 2017 Cepi Kurniawan, Ph.D sukses mengundang para pakar kimia internasional dalam JCC 2017 sebagai narasumber.

Mereka adalah Prof. David Harding (Walailak University, Thailand), Prof. Gouping Chen (University of Tsukuba, Jepang), Prof. Hadariah Bahron (Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia), Prof. Subramaniam Ramanathan (National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapura), Prof. Hajime Hirao (City University of Hong Kong), sedangkan dari dalam negeri adalah Prof. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih (Universitas Airlangga), serta Prof. Kasmadi Imam Supardi (Universitas Negeri Semarang).

Selain 7 narasumber internasional, hadir pula 94 pemakalah dan 22 peserta pendengar.
