Kerja Sama dengan Pertamina, Unnes Kirim 15 Mahasiswa Mengabdi di Papua

Sejumlah 15 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) akan berangkat ke Merauke dan Keerom, Papua untuk mengikuti Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Relawan Guru Sobat Bumi. Mereka akan mengabdi selama 11 bulan, terhitung sejak Agustus 2014 hingga Juni 2015.

KKN Relawan Guru Sobat Bumi merupakan skema pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dijalankan Unnes bekerja sama dengan Pertamina Foundation. Kelima belas mahasiswa Unnes akan bergabung dengan 5 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) untuk mengikuti program yang sama.

Selama di Papua mereka ditugaskan merekrut siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) untuk belajar calistung serta mendampingi guru dan masyarakat setempat membentuk komunitas pendidikan.

Kelima belas mahasiswa terpilih telah mengikuti seleksi yang digelar sejak Mei 2014. Mereka terpilih karena dinilai memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan Pertamina Foundation, yakni memiliki keterampilan dan pengetahuan sepakbola, berkarakter baik, cakap berkomunikasi, serta memiliki jiwa nasionalisme yang tinggi.

Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum berpesan, sebagaimana tajuk program, mahasiswa dapat memiliki kerelaan hati untuk mengabdikan diri kepada masyarakat. Menurutnya, kesempatan berinteraksi dengan saudara jauh di Papua harus dimanfaatkan untuk membangkitkan kecintaan terhadap Tanah Air.

“Masyarkat Papua tengan melakukan transformasi. Apa yang terjadi di sana tidak sama persis dengan yang digambarkan media. Mereka lebih maju, terutama karena mereka sedang menjalankan berbagai program afirmasi.

Dari lima belas mahasiswa, lima mahasiswa akan bertuga di Merauke, yaitu Ikhsan Ansori (PGPJSD), Fatib Rijalul (PJKR), Muhammad Abdullah Amron (Pendidikan Ekonomi), Andra Jati (PJKR), dan SiswoyoHeri (PGPJSD).

Adapun sepuluh mahasiswa lainnya akan bertugas ke Keerom, Kabupaten di Selatan Jayapura, yakni Evanda Hirda (PJKR) Anugrah Tri (PJKR), Catur Romadoni (PGPJSD), Risqi Darmawan (PJKR), Fani Parantya (PJKR), Muhamad Arif Setiawan (PJKR), Bagus Dwi Minarno (PJKR), Ukul Chamdani (PJKR), Aziz Saifudin (PJKR), dan Anggi Dwi Laksono (PJKR).

Kelima belas mahasiswa akan didampingi dosen PJKR Unnes yang juga anggota satuan tugas KKN Unnes, Drs Cahyo Yuwono MPd.
