Kenakan Pakaian Tradisional, Beberapa Pegawai UNNES Dapat Piala Rektor

Untuk mengenang dan menghargai jasa pahlawan nasional, Jumat (21/4), seluruh pegawai di lingkungan UNNES mengenakan pakaian tradisional. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menyambut Hari Kartini. Tidak tanggung-tanggung sebuah Surat Edaran dari Rektor pun dikeluarkan untuk mengawal kegiatan ini.

”Ini sebagai bentuk penghormatan UNNES kepada pahlawan nasional pejuang emansipasi wanita, dengan mengembangkan kebudayaan dan peradaban bangsa yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai konservasi,” kata Rektor UNNES Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum, Kamis (21/4).

Rektor menilai, yang mengenakan pakaian tradisional terbaik Saptono MSi dosen Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Dr Martono Wakil Rektor Bidang Umum dan Keuangan, dan Prof Oktia Woro Kismini Handayani Wakil Dekan Bidang Umum dan Keuangan Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan. Masing-masing mendapat tropi dan bingkisan dari Rektor.

Prof Fathur juga menyatakan Peningkatan akses pendidikan berkorelasi positif dengan peningkatan akses perempuan Indonesia ke berbagai bidang kehidupan. Dengan pendidikan yang baik, perempuan Indonesia dapat  berkiprah di berbagai bidang, termasuk bidang-bidang yang dianggap maskulin.

Ia menunjukkan bahwa ada prospek cerah yang menunjukkan berkuranganya ketimpangan gender berkat akses pendidikan yang baik. Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan di sebuah komunitas semakin tinggi pula tingkat kesetaraan.

“Korelasi ini merupakan kabar yang menggembirakan. Cita-cita keseteraan yang pernah digelorakan Kartini semakin dekat terpenuhi,” katanya, di Rektorat kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Di Unnes sendiri kecenderungan baik itu terbukti dengan tampilnya perempuan sebagai pimpinan, yaitu Prof Dr Tandiyo Rahayu dan Dr Rodiyah.
