Kehangatan di Manggarai, Keceriaan SM-3T di Ende

Dua hari sudah lawatan Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo ke  wilayah pengabdian Sarjana Mendidik di Daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM-3T) di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Apa yang bisa dicatat?

“Jika enam bulan lalu masih terlihat wajah ragu dan takut sebelum diberangkatkan, kini keraguan itu sudah tidak tersisa lagi. Yang ada hanya kemantapan dan keceriaan di wilayah pengabdian,” ungkap Rektor di hadapan 94 SM-3T asal Unnes yang tengah mengabdi di Kabupaten Ende, saat ramah tamah di sebuah rumah makan.

Di tengah-tengah acara itu, Rektor yang disertai Pembantu Rektor IV Prof Fathur Rokhman dan Sekretaris PPG Dr Isti Hidayah untuk beberapa saat bersama beberapa SM-3T bertemu dengan Bupati Ende Don Bosco M Wangge.

“Jangan seratus, seribu SM-3T pun akan kami terima dengan tangan terbuka karena kehadiran mereka sungguh-sungguh bermanfaat, terutama untuk mangatasi kekuranagn guru di daerah ini,” kata Bupati.

Di Manggarai
Di Kantor Kabupaten Manggarai, sudah terasa kehangatan sejak awal penyambutan. Diterima oleh Bupati dan Wakil Bupati, keakraban serta merta terbangun.

Sejenak duduk di ruang pertemuan yang merupakan rumah adat Manggarai, Rektor dan PR IV sudah disambut dengan penyerahan ayam jantan dan kendi berisi air nira oleh tetua adat setempat. Sebelumnya, dengan duduk bersimpuh di atas tikar, di depan kursi Rektor dan rombongan, tetua adat yang didampingi dua lelaki dalam balutan pakaian adat, menyampaikan ucapan selamat datang sekaligus doa pengharapan dalam bahasa Manggarai.

“Ayam jantan dengan warna dominan putih dan kendi berisi air enau melambangkan kepolosan hati kami menerima Pak Rektor dan rombongan. Dengan diterima, kami juga ingin katakan kepada leluhur bahwa yang datang ini bukan orang lain, melainkan bagian dari kita sendiri yang membawa kebaikan, sehingga nanti leluhur tak perlu bertanya-tanya dan mengusap-usap Pak Rektor dan rombongan lagi,”  terang Wakil Bupati yang juga tak lupa mengenakan jas serta kopiah bermotif Manggarai kepada Rektor. Pakaian yang sama juga dikenakan kepada anggota rombongan.

Wakil Bupati juga mengemukakan, sambutan tersebut tak lepas dari kebaikan yang telah diberikan Unnes dengan mengirimkan 93 SM-3T. “Kebaikan diterima dengan kebaikan. SM-3T telah membuat rakyat kami tahu ke mana barat dan ke mana pula timur,” katanya.

    Saya dengar tim SM-3T dari jalur UNESA Surabaya mengumpulkan essay para peserta SM-3T tentang pengalaman-pengalaman berharga selama mengikuti program SM-3T di Sumba Timur (penempatan SM-3T UNESA hanya di Sumba Timur) untuk dirangkum dalam sebuah buku. Mirip dengan program Indonesia Mengajar, yang kini pengalaman para pesertanya dalam mengajar siswa2 di pelosok negeri dapat dinikmati dalam buku berjudul Indonesia Mengajar. bagaimana dengan UNNES, apakah begitu juga? atau mungkin yang lain?

    hanya sekedar klarifikasi bahwa peserta sm3T dr manggarai berjumlah 91 orang bukan 93. salam maju bersama sm3t manggarai.
