Kampus Hijau Berkelanjutan, UNNES Raih Peringkat 4 Nasional dan 28 Dunia dalam UI GreenMetric

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) berhasil meraih Penghargaan UI GreenMetric World University Ranking dengan peringkat ke-4 nasional dan peringkat ke-28 dunia. Capaian tersebut menegaskan posisi UNNES sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi terdepan dalam penerapan kampus berwawasan konservasi dan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

UI GreenMetric World University Ranking merupakan pemeringkatan perguruan tinggi tingkat dunia yang diinisiasi oleh Universitas Indonesia. Pemeringkatan ini, mengukur komitmen dan kinerja kampus dalam penerapan prinsip keberlanjutan. Penilaian dilakukan berdasarkan sejumlah indikator, mulai pengelolaan lingkungan dan infrastruktur, energi dan perubahan iklim, pengelolaan limbah dan air, transportasi berkelanjutan, hingga pendidikan dan riset terkait lingkungan.

Rektor UNNES Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si. melalui Wakil Rektor IV UNNES, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM., menegaskan capaian ini mencerminkan kemajuan UNNES dalam mewujudkan visi sebagai universitas berwawasan konservasi.

“Hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang luar biasa dalam upaya mewujudkan visi UNNES sebagai universitas berwawasan konservasi. Capaian tersebut harus terus diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di lingkungan kampus. Sehingga mendorong peningkatan yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan,” ujarnya saat di wawancarai di Gedung Muladi Dome, Universitas Diponegoro, Kota Semarang, Selasa (16/12/2025).

Sementara itu, Kepala Subdit Konservasi UNNES, Prof. Dr. Nana Kariada Tri Martuti, M.Si., turut mengapresiasi seluruh sivitas akademika atas kontribusi dan dukungan yang telah diberikan dalam memperkuat budaya konservasi di lingkungan UNNES.

“Terima kasih atas dukungan seluruh sivitas akademika UNNES. Capaian ini menjadi pengingat sekaligus motivasi bagi kita semua untuk terus berjuang lebih keras dan berani keluar dari zona nyaman. Tiga pilar konservasi yang dijalankan UNNES sejalan dengan visi universitas dalam mewujudkan pembangunan berkelanjutan,” bebernya.

Di sisi lain, Ketua UI GreenMetric, Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., MIA, menjelaskan bahwa UI GreenMetric World University Ranking dirancang sebagai instrumen global untuk mendorong perguruan tinggi menerapkan kebijakan keberlanjutan yang berdampak nyata.

“UI GreenMetric World University Ranking hadir untuk mendorong para pimpinan dan pemangku kepentingan di perguruan tinggi dalam menerapkan kebijakan berkelanjutan yang berdampak. Dengan demikian, perguruan tinggi dapat menjadi panutan bagi masyarakat, termasuk UNNES,” ungkapnya.

Acara ini turut dihadiri oleh Menteri Lingkungan Hidup atau Kepala Badan Pengendalian Lingkungan Hidup, Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Wakil Gubernur Jawa Tengah H. Taj Yasin Maimoen, Direktur Kelembagaan Diktisaintek Prof. Dr. Mukhamad Najib, S.TP., M.M., serta pimpinan dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.
