Jumlah Pendaftar Bidikmisi Melonjak Jelang Penutupan

Persaingan memperebutkan beasiswa Bidikmisi pada Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) tampaknya kian ketat. Menjelang penutupan pendaftaran pada Senin 24 Maret 2014, pendaftar bertambah secara signifikan.

Ketua Panitia SNMPTN Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Dr Sugianto mengungkapkan hal itu berdasarkan tabulasi pendaftar hingga Minggu (23/3) sore. “Hingga Minggu (23/3) pukul 18.00 WIB atau sehari menjelang penutupan, pendaftar beasiswa Bidikmisi lewat SNMPTN sebanyak 9.314 orang,” ungkapnya.

Pertambahan tersebut, menurut Sugianto, sangat mencolok dibandingkan dengan pekan lalu. “Selasa ( 28/3) lalu pendaftar Bidikmisi ke Unnes baru 4.730 orang. Tapi lima hari kemudian, jumlahnya bertambah hampir dua kali lipat. Jumlah ini seiring dengan pertambahan signifikan jumlah pendaftar SNMPTN ke Unnes secara keseluruhan, yakni Selasa lalu 23.125 orang, hari Minggu ini atau lima hari kemudian sudah 32.832 orang,” katanya.

Dia memperkirakan jumlah itu akan bertambah menjelang menit-menit terakhir penutupan, yakni Senin (24/3) pukul 22.00 WIB. “Namun yang bukan pendaftar Bidikmisi masih bisa mendaftar SNMPTN hingga 31 Maret mendatang,” katanya.

Banyaknya pendaftar Bidikmisi tak lepas dari fasilitas yang bakal didapat oleh penerima. Jika ditetapkan sebagai penerima, mahasiswa akan bebas dari segala biaya kuliah selama delapan semester (empat tahun) studi. Selain itu, mereka mendapatkan biaya hidup sedikitnya Rp600.000 per bulan.

Sepi Pendaftar
Pada bagian lain Sugianto mencatat, sejumlah program studi masih sepi peminat. Program studi Sastra Jawa, Pendidikan Seni Tari, Pendidikan Bahas Perancis, Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin, Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, dan Pendidikan Guru Jasmani Sekolah Dasar dengan pendaftar tak lebih dari 30 orang.

Sebaliknya, program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD), Manajemen, dan Akuntansi mampu menggaet ribuan pendaftar. “Khusus program studi Pendidikan Guru Jasmani SD, mungkin sekali sedikitnya pendaftar disebabkan oleh kesulitan yang dialami calon pendaftar untuk mengunggah portofolio, terutama yang berupa rekaman audiovisual,” katanya.

Sehubungan dengan itu, pihaknya mengimbau para kepala dan guru Bimbingan Konseling SMA/SMK/MA/MAK untuk mendorong siswa agar segera mendaftarkan diri. “Asal datanya sudah masuk PDSS, pada prinsipnya semua kelas XII SMA bisa mendaftar ke SNMPTN. Gratis,” tandasnya.

    Jumlah mhs bidik misi jangan hanya ditingkatkan kuantitasnya , tpi juga kualitasnya yg benar2 layak menerima.. Jika kita tengok kegiatan monev BM tgl 23/3/14 disana banyak mhs yg menggunakan kendaraan keluaran baru .. Jangan sampai dana BM salah sasaran . mhon diperketat seleksi mhs bidik misi , jangan hanya mengejar kuantitas saja .. jangan sampai para calon koruptor tumbuh di unnes tercinta ini .
