Ke Jogja, Jateng Targetkan Juara I

Dalam Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional XIII (Pomnas XIII) yang berlangsung di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, kontingen Jawa Tengah (Jateng) mematok target juara pertama.

”Kami ingin setidaknya kontingen Jateng bisa mempertahankan posisi kedua, karena dua kali berturut-turut menempati urutan kedua, yakni pada Pomnas XI di Palembang dan Pomnas XII di Batam,” kata Prof Masrukhi, Ketua Badan Pembinaan Olahraga Mahasiswa Indonesia (BPOMI) Jateng di sela-sela pelepasan atlet, Jumat (22/11) di Gubernuran Jawa Tengah Jalan Pahlawan.

Untuk perhelatan yang digelar 24 November-1 Desember itu, kontingen Jateng dilepas oleh Wakil Gubernur Drs Heru Sudjatmoko MSi, ditandai dengan pemakaian jaket dan topi kepada atlet futsal putri Laras Anugraheni dan Umar (atletik).

Prof Masrukhi optimistis target tersebut tercapai. “Bahkan bermimpi dengan bekerja keras menjadi juara pertama karena kontingen Jateng menerjunkan 220 atlet dari 29 PTN/PTS dan 54 official serta mengikuti semua cabang yang dipertandingkan yakni 14 cabang,” katanya.

Ke-14 cabang itu meliputi atletik, bola basket, bola voli indoor, bola voli pantai, bulutangkis, catur, futsal, karate, panahan, pencak silat, renang, sepak bola, tenis lapangan, dan tenis meja.

Harapan itu berdasarkan analisis kekuatan atlet Jateng yang relatif bagus, dan ada aturan main bahwa atlet Pelatnas SEA Games tidak boleh turun di arena Pomnas. “Ini yang cukup membanggakan, karena kontingen di luar Jateng ada yang degradasi yang cukup luar biasa sehingga menguntungkan kontingen Jateng,” katanya.

Kantong-kantong kekuatan emas itu cukup merata. Sekurang-kurangnya 29 emas di antaranya berada di tenis lapangan, atletik, sepak bola, karate, pencak silat, dan renang.

Wakil Gubernur Heru Sudjakmoko saat membacakan sambutan tertulis Gubernur Jateng Ganjar Pranowo mengatakan, prestasi Jateng di bidang olahraga saat ini menunjukkan tren kemajuan yang membanggakan pada event nasional dan internasional, termasuk kontingen Pomnas, karena menyandang gelar kedua berturut-turut, yakni pada Pomnas XI dan XII. “Semoga prestasi tersebut mendorong Jateng menjadi juara pertama pada Pomnas XIII ini,” katanya.

Namun Wagub juga mengingatkan para atlet untuk tidak cepat puas diri. “Masih banyak kekurangan yang harus kita kejar untuk mendapatkan prestasi yang lebih baik lagi. Karena itu, Pomnas ini jadikan sebagai ajang pelatihan dan sekaligus pembibitan untuk melahirkan atlet-atlet berprestasi yang meneruskan tongkat estafet guna membangun prestasi olahraga Jateng.”
