Jangan Mengejar Simbol atau Sertifikat Belaka

Selama masa studi, mahasiswa hendaknya belajar dengan kesungguhan dan tidak sekadar mengejar simbol atau sertifikat belaka. Sebab, jika hanya hal tersebut yang menjadi tujuan, maka kegelisahan dan ketidakpuasan akan selalu menghampiri.

Itulah himbauan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Agus Wahyudin MSi saat menerima dan membuka Program Pengenalan Akademik (PPA) peserta program S1-KKT (Sarjana Kependidikan dengan Kewenangan Tambahan) serta Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) dalam Jabatan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) tahun 2011 di auditorium kampus Sekaran, Senin (28/11).

“Raihlah substansi, ilmu sejati, dan manfaat yang signifikan untuk pengembangan kompetensi baik dalam profesionalitas pedagogik, personal, maupun sosial, insya Allah saudara tak ternilai oleh apapun ketika kompetensi itu bersemayam di dalam kepribadian saudara,” kata Agus Wahyudin.

Dia juga mengemukakan, guru harus dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai luhur. Guru dituntut tidak sekadar mengajar tapi mendidik untuk melahirkan generasi muda yang berkualitas dan memperbaiki keadaan generasi sekarang yang penuh dengan permasalahan.

“Ikutilah PPA ini dengan sungguh-sungguh, saya tidak ingin mendengar ada yang tidak masuk dengan segudang alasan.  Saat ini telah diberlakukan manajemen akademik secara online, kehadiran saudara setiap saat bisa dilihat oleh Rektor, Dekan, Ketua Jurusan, sampai ketua program studi melalui Sikadu,” katanya.

Dalam Sikadu (Sistem Akademik Terpadu), monitoring perkuliahan akan dipantau secara online. “Bila tidak memenuhi syarat minimal 12 kali pertemuan, maka sistem akan mengeblok dan saudara tidak berhak mengikuti ujian,” tandasnya.

    Saya setuju bahwa kita para calon guru jangan hanya mengejar sertfikat dan simbol sebagai seorang Sarjana Pendidikan.Ketika mahasiswa hanya mengejar itu seakan-akan yang dia impikan hanya dengan gelar S.Pd bisa jadi guru,PNS lagi.Dan menurut saya itu suatu pemikiran yang monoton.Hampir banyak mahasiswa prodi pendidikan mempunyai prinsip seperti.Hal ini saya bisa ungkapkan berdasarkan banyak mahasiswa yang saya tanya cita-cita mereka setelah lulus kuliah,hampir semua punya pikiran lulus S.Pd,ikut CPNS,lolos,lalu jadi guru.Harusnya mereka sebagai calon penerus bangsa berpikir luas tidak hanya mememikirkan masalah perut sendiri.Tapi bagaimana menjadi penerus bangsa yang benar-benar penerus bangsa.Menjadi guru secara ikhlas hanya mengharap ridho,rahmat,dan hidayah Allah SWT.
