Jadikan Hidup Bermanfaat lewat Kegiatan

Orang yang beruntung di dalam menapaki tahap-tahap kehidupan yang terus berjalan adalah orang-orang yang mengisi waktu-waktu hidupnya dengan kegiatan-kegiatan bermakna dan bermanfaat. Akan rugilah orang yang mengisi waktu demi waktu itu biasa-biasa saja.

Demikian dikatakan Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Masrukhi saat memberi arahan pada pelantikan Dewan Racana dan Dewan Koordinasi Racana Wijaya Gudep Kota Semarang 14.111-14.112 Unnes, Rabu (30), di dekanat Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni kampus Sekaran.

Leo Van Gunawan dari Teknik Mesin Fakultas Teknik (FT) dilantik menjadi ketua Racana Wijaya 14.111 menggantikan Ahmad Rouf, dan Ika Zuliana dari Teknologi Pendidikan (FIP) ketua Racana Wijaya 14.112 menggantikan Sintia Husnurroshida.

“Menjadi tua adalah kepastian, tetapi menjadi dewasa adalah pilihan,” kata Prof Masrukhi. Artinya, umur terus bertambah tapi pribadi, mental, sikap dan perilaku itu tidak menunjukkan kedewasaan seiring dengan bertambahnya usia.

Banyak manfaat yang dapat diambil dari kegiatan kepramukaan, di antaranya membentuk karakter dan jiwa nasionalisme.

Masyarakat sekarang ini sedang berada pada titik nazir dalam segala aspek. Mentalitas, moralitas masyarakat sedang menurun secara drastis sehingga perilaku-perilaku tidak terpuji hampir kelihatan diseluruh eleman masyarakat. Berita tentang korupsi, kolusi, pemerkosaan, pembunuhan, tawuran hampir setiap hari terlihat di televisi.

Pramuka sebagai kader masa depan bangsa diharapkan bisa memperbaiki kondisi masyarakat yang tidak sehat ini dan insya Allah dengan jiwa-jiwa mulia, luhur bisa kembali membangun masyarakat, membangun peradaban bangsa Indonesia di tengah kancah internasional.
