Jadi Tuan Rumah Konferensi Internasional, Jurusan Bahasa Jawa Dorong Pengembangan Keilmuan

Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang bakal menjadi tuan rumah dalam International Conference on Local Wisdom (Incolwis) atau Konferensi Internasional tentang Kearifan Lokal, 24-25 November 2021. Konferensi yang menghadirkan pembicara dari sejumlah negara ini dilakukan secara daring.

Tema yang diusung adalah “Culture Overview in Southeast Asia”. Ketua Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa Unnes, Dr Prembayun Miji Lestari, mengatakan konferensi menjadi ajang bertemunya para dosen dan peneliti untuk membahas isu mutakhir terkait kearifan lokal yang berkembang di sejumlah negara. Ia mengatakan lanskap kebudayaan di berbagai negara telah berubah sejak pandemi melanda dunia pada awal 2020.

Untuk itu, konferensi secara strategis diharapkan mampu menjadi tumpuan dalam pengembangan arah penelitian maupun kebijakan dalam bidang kebudayaan di berbagai negara. Hasil-hasil penelitian oleh para ilmuwan yang menggeluti bidang kebudayaan terus dinantikan. Dalam konteks ini, perguruan tinggi mesti berperan dalam menentukan arah perubahan kebudayan menuju berkemajuan. “Salah satunya melalui konferensi yang diadakan secara berkesinambungan untuk mempertemukan para peneliti dan membahas hasil penelitian terkini,” ujar Prembayun, Selasa (17/11/2021). Akan hadir sebagai pembicara, Prof Dr George Quinn dari Australian National University, Dr Taeyoung Cho dari Korean Institute of Southeast Asian Studies di Korea Selatan, Prof Dr Abdul Halim Ali dari University Pendidikan Sultan Idris Malaysia, dan Prof Dr Mikihiro Moriyama dari Jepang. Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman dijadwalkan menjadi pembicara kunci dalam konferensi yang dapat diikuti oleh dosen, peneliti, mahasiswa S-1 maupun pascasarjana, hingga guru dan tenaga ahli itu.

Selain menjadi pesertadalam sesi ceramah oleh narasumber, siapa pun dapat mengirimkan makalah dan mempresentasikannya dalam sesi paralel pada konferensi yang bakal dibuka oleh Ketua Ikatan Dosen dan Budaya Daerah Indonesia (Ikadbudi) Prof Dr Sutrisna Wibawa ini. Subtema makalah yang dapat dipresentasikan meliputi kearifan lokal, sastra, linguistik, pendidikan, religi, filsafat, seni, sejarah, hukum, dan teknologi berbasis kearifan lokal. Selain itu, makanan dan minuman tradisional, arsitektur, pengobatan tradisional, juga wirausaha berbasis budaya dan turisme.

Menurut Prembayun, konferensi juga bakal diisi dengan klinik manuskrip. Selain Prembayun, pembicara lain dalam klinik manuskrip adalah Prof Dr Suwardi Endraswara dari Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Prof Dr Yayat Sudaryat dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), dan Ery Agus K dari Balai Bahasa Jawa Tengah.

Dekan FBS Unnes Dr Sri Rejeki Urip mengatakan pihaknya terus mendorong dosen untuk menjadi bagian dari komunitas akademik internasional. Ia mengatakan konferensi berperan penting dalam pengembangan keilmuan dosen. Sebab, dosen perlu memahami fenomena global, perkembangan teori, dan hasil-hasil penelitian.
