Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menjadi salah satu narasumber dalam webinar yang diselenggarakan oleh Komisi Pendidikan, Pesantren dan Kaderisasi Ulama Majelis Ulama Indonesia Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Dalam webinar yang bertajuk “Mencegah Lost Generation Dampak Pandemi” tersebut, Rektor UNNES menyampaikan sebuah materi bertema “Mentorship Orientasi Baru Guru pada Era Kenormalan Baru”, Rabu (25/08).

Di awal paparannya, Prof Fathur menyampaikan bahwa Pandemi mengubah segala aspek dalam kehidupan tak terkecuali dalam dunia pendidikan.

“Perubahan pendidikan akibat pandemi covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan sistem kuliah tatap muka menjadi tatap maya dan mengubah konunikasi langsung menjadi komunikasi terperantai. Hal tersebut secara tidak langsung mengakibatkan pergeseran relasi antara Guru dan peserta didik,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Prof Fathur menerangkan ancaman learning loss akibat pandemi covid-19.

“Perubahan perilaku belajar selama pandemi menimbulkan orientasi belajar baru yang harus direspon dengan cepat untuk meminimalisasi “Learning loss”. Oleh sebab itu, Guru harus mulai mengubah orientasi dari Monitorship menuju Mentorship,” terang Prof Fathur

Prof Fathur menjelaskan 3 hal yang dapat dilakukan seorang guru untuk bertransformasi menjadi mentor yaitu dengan perubahan budaya kerja, perubahan mindset, dan perubahan orientasi.

Di akhir paparannya, Prof Fathur menyampaikan bahwa UNNES sebagai LPTK yang mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk mencetak guru professional penggerak sebagai pendorong transformasi pendidikan Indonesia .

“Untuk mencetak generasi masa depan yang hebat dimulai dengan mempersiapkan guru yang berkualitas,” terangnya.
