Inovasi Hemat Energi, Pandawa Team UNNES Raih Posisi Keempat di KMHE 2025

Pandawa Team Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) meraih posisi keempat dalam ajang Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi bekerja sama dengan Universitas Jember, pada 23–27 Oktober 2025.

Tim Pandawa berkompetisi pada kategori Urban Mesin Pembakaran Dalam Etanol, dengan capaian efisiensi bahan bakar mencapai 276,361 km/liter. Pencapaian tersebut menempatkan UNNES sejajar dengan berbagai perguruan tinggi besar yang berfokus pada pengembangan kendaraan efisien dan ramah lingkungan.

General Manager Pandawa Team, Ahmad Khusom Kurniawan, mengatakan ajang ini menjadi motivasi penting untuk pengembangan riset dan peningkatan efisiensi kendaraan.

“Melalui hasil ini, kami akan menjadikannya bahan evaluasi dan pembelajaran agar terus berinovasi, mengembangkan ide baru, dan meningkatkan capaian efisiensi kendaraan. Harapannya, di kompetisi berikutnya, Pandawa Team mampu meraih hasil lebih baik dan membawa pulang gelar juara,” ungkapnya.

Kompetisi KMHE merupakan ajang nasional yang bertujuan menumbuhkan kreativitas, inovasi, dan kolaborasi mahasiswa dalam merancang kendaraan hemat energi, efisien, dan berwawasan lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa didorong untuk berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan teknologi berkelanjutan di bidang otomotif dan energi alternatif.

Selama kompetisi berlangsung, rangkaian kegiatan diawali dengan registrasi peserta di hari pertama, dilanjutkan Technical Inspection pada hari kedua untuk memastikan kendaraan memenuhi standar keselamatan dan regulasi teknis. Setelah lolos uji kelayakan, tim melanjutkan ke sesi race pada hari ketiga dan keempat, yang menjadi tahap utama pengujian performa serta efisiensi konsumsi energi kendaraan.

Kendaraan merupakan hasil riset mahasiswa dengan desain aerodinamis, bobot ringan, dan sistem penggerak yang dioptimalkan untuk efisiensi bahan bakar. Inovasi tersebut lahir dari kolaborasi erat antara dosen pembimbing dan mahasiswa yang fokus pada teknologi kendaraan berkelanjutan dan energi bersih.

Selain itu, keikutsertaan Pandawa Team juga sejalan dengan komitmen UNNES terhadap Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs). Melalui inovasi kendaraan hemat energi ini, UNNES berkontribusi pada SDG 7 (Energi Bersih dan Terjangkau) dengan mendorong penggunaan energi alternatif, SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur) dengan memperkuat riset berbasis teknologi, serta SDG 13 (Penanganan Perubahan Iklim) melalui solusi transportasi rendah emisi karbon. Oleh karena itu, partisipasi tim ini tidak hanya mencerminkan prestasi, tetapi juga wujud nyata kontribusi UNNES terhadap pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Upaya tersebut semakin memperkuat peran UNNES sebagai Kampus Konservasi dan Kampus Berdampak. Kampus ini konsisten menumbuhkan budaya riset dan inovasi yang berorientasi pada kesejahteraan masyarakat dan keberlanjutan lingkungan.(Sat)
