Inilah Lima Hal yang Menentukan Kualitas Foto

Setidak-tidaknya ada lima hal yang menentukan kualitas foto. Fotografer Lintang Hakim menyampaikan, lima hal itu adalah entire, detail, frame, angle, dan time (EDFAT).

Lintang menyampaikan hal itu pada pelatihan jurnalistik dasar yang diselenggarakan Klub Jurnalistik Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS Unnes, Selasa (25/2). Materi fotografi adalah materi pertama di hari kedua penyelenggaraan pelatihan. Pelatihan akan dilaksanakan hingga Sabtu (1/3) mendatang.

Menurutnya, dari lima hal tersebut, angle adalah faktor terpenting. “Angle menentukan unsur-unsur yang lain. Angle menentukan frame juga menentukan cahaya yang diterima kamera,” katanya.

Ragam foto jurnalistik, katanya, berbeda secara konseptual meski teknik pengambilan dan prosesnya sama. “Foto jurnalistik adalah foto yang mengandung nilai berita. Biasanya foto jurnalistik dimuat di media. Informasi jadi kandungan utama foto jenis ini, dibanding jenis foto lain,” katanya.

Lantaran memiliki kekhasan, untuk menghasilkan foto jurnalistik yang baik memerlukan strategi yang berbeda dengan ragam foto lain. “Selain diperlukan penguasaan teknis yang baik, fotografer juga harus peka terhadap situasi sekitar,” katanya.

Pelatihan jurnalistik digelar Klub Jurnalistik Jurusan BSI untuk mempersiapkan penerbitan beberapa media jurusan. Mahasiswa berinisiatif menerbitkan media online, buletin, dan majalah.

“Kami ingin menjadikan klub ini sebagai ruang berlatih. Tidak  hanya menulis, tapi mengelola media. Oleh karena itu, kami juga akan belajar tentang media watch, desain media, hingga periklanan,” kata Ketua Klub Jurnalistik Dwi Yuniawan.
