Inilah 5 Strategi Unnes Perkuat Peran Sebagai LPTK

Lima langkah akan ditempuh Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) untuk menguatkan peran kebangsaannya sebagai Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK). Selain mengembangkan kurikulum, Unnes juga akan mengembangkan laboratorium microteaching, mengembangkan asrama mahasiswa, mendorong inovasi pembelajaran, dan menguatkan karakter mahasiswa.

Lima strategi ini disampaikan Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam workshop Pengembangan Kurikulum 2012 Berbasiswa Kompetensi dan Konservasi, Selasa (4/2) di Salatiga. Kelima strategi ini, menurutnya, harus dilakukan secara bersamaan dan berkelanjutan.

“Penguatan karakter Unnes sebagai LPTK juga harus mendorong penguatan prodi-prodi nonkependidikan yang telah diamanatkan sebagai mandate tambahan (wider mandate),” katanya. Menurutnya, penguatan perlu dilakukan secara terus menerus karena Unnes memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam tranformasi bangsa.

Mengenai pengembangan kurikulum, secara kelembagaan, telah diprogramkan pengembangan kurikulum internasional bekerja sama dengan Massey University New Zealand, PT MADEP, dan CTNS. Setidak-tidaknya aka nada 10 program studi akan menjadi pelopor program ini pada tahun 2015.

Pada tahap insepsi, Unnes akan mempelajari kriteria pemeringkatan World Class University  hingga melakukan pendampingan proposal akhir 10 program studi terpilih. Pada tahap kedua dilakukan pengembangan silabus.

Pada tahap ketiga dilakukan pengembang hand out dan aplikasi, mulai dari benchmarking best practice, pelatihan internasional teaching, hingga audit pelaksaan internasional class teaching. Adapun pada tahap keempat yaitu tahap diseminasi, diharapkan sudah dihasilkan naskah kurikulum internasional untuk 10 program studi pelopor.

Dari sinilah salah satu jalan memunculkan pengakuan dari dunia internasional. Yang diutamakan seharusnya high quality university. Kampus yang bereputasi internasional hanyalah efek penyerta ketika keunggulan kualitas tri dharma perguruan tinggi selalu diutamakan.
