Program Studi Ilmu Politik UNNES Kembali Selenggarakan International Symposium on Indonesian Politics

Program Studi Ilmu Politik Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali menyelenggarakan International Symposium on Indonesian Politics pada Senin (26/10).

Berbeda dengan sebelumnya, forum ilmiah rutin tahunan ini diselenggarakan secara virtual melalui platform zoom meeting dengan menghadirkan empat Keynote Speaker.

Keempat Keynote Speaker tersebut ialah Teuku Afrizal PhD (Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia), Dr Rahmat Adhi Wibowo (Austrian Institute of Technology, Austria), Prof Dr Kittisak Jermsittiparsert (Henan University of Economics and Law, China), dan Zulfa Zakhiyya PhD (Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia).

Dalam kegiatan bertema “Leadership and Contemporary Issues on Development” itu, Teuku Afrizal PhD menyampaikan gagasannya yang berjudul “Essential Issues in Community based Solid Waste Management: a Sociological of Development Perspective of Waste Bank Management”. Paparan dilanjutkan oleh Dr Rahmat Adhi Wibowo yang membawakan topik mengenai “Securing Scientific and Technological Leadership: a Scientist Perspective”.

Sementara itu, Prof Dr Kittisak Jermsittiparsert menyampaikan topiknya yang berjudul “Technological Adoption and Technological Leadership as Determinants of E-Government in Asean Countries: a Panel Data Analysis” dan Zulfa Zakhiyya PhD yang menyampaikan gagasannya tentang “Women Leaders in Higher Education”.

Selain paparan dari Keynote Speaker, International Symposium on Indonesian Politics tahun ini juga menyelenggarakan Workshop Penelitian dan Diskusi Buku.

Hadir memberikan pelatihan dan paparan workshop, Ketua Program Studi Jepang Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas Dian Nuswantoro Andy Bangkit Setiawan MA PhD.

Dalam paparannya, Andy menyampaikan klasifikasi mengenai pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian.

“Setidaknya ketika kita berbicara mengenai pendekatan penelitian, ada dua jenis yang bisa digunakan yakni Pendekatan Penelitian Eksplanatori dan Pendekatan Penelitian Konfirmatori,” papar Andy.

Trainer Atlas.ti itu memberikan rekomendasi penggunaan software khusus dalam pengumpulan hingga penganalisisan data penelitian.

“Jadi ada aplikasi khusus yang kami kembangkan yakni Atlas.ti. Bapak/Ibu bisa menggunakan aplikasi tersebut untuk mempermudah pengkoleksian data, pengorganisasian data, hingga analisis data penelitian. Terutama bagi Bapak/Ibu yang senang mengembangkan riset kualitatif,” jelasnya.

Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan sesi Diskusi Buku yang dipandu oleh dosen senior dari Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Wahyu Prasetyawan PhD.

Peraih Penghargaan Internasional Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Prize ke-36 Jepang itu memberikan ulasan mengenai karyanya yang berjudul “Networked: Business and Politics in Decentralizing Indonesia 1998-2004”.

Ketua Program Studi Ilmu Politik UNNES Moh. Aris Munandar SSos MM berharap, International Symposium on Indonesian Politics tahun 2020 dapat menjadi sarana pertukaran ilmu pengetahuan yang bermuara pada terciptanya iklim akademik yang lebih baik.

Dalam laporannya, ketua panitia pelaksana kegiatan Cahyo Seftyono SSos MA menejlaskan, selain enam narasumber, kegiatan ini juga menghadirkan 18 presenter yang akan menyampaikan paparan topik penelitiannya secara panel.

“Kami sangat berharap kegiatan rutin tahunan ini bisa terus diselenggarakan. Meski tengah berada pada masa pademi seperti saat ini, harapannya tidak menghilangkan esensi pertukaran ilmu pengetahuan dan semangat membangun budaya literasi, terutama dalam konteks kepemimpinan dan isu-isu terbaru saat ini,” jelas dosen Jurusan Politik dan Kewarganegaraan itu.
