HUT RI Ke-70, Unnes Sambut Gerakan Ayo Kerja

Merdeka adalah rakhmat Yang Maha Kuasa. Merdeka merupakan jembatan emas untuk mewujudkan semua harapan berbangsa dan bernegara, yakni: memiliki Indonesia yang “melindungi segenap bangsa Indonesia dan seluruh tumpah darah Indonesia dan untuk memajukan kesejahteraan umum, mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, dan ikut melaksanakan ketertiban dunia yang berdasarkan kemerdekaan, perdamaian abadi dan keadilan sosial.” Harapan itu hanya bisa dicapai dengan kerja. Hal tersebut diungkapkan Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum dalam Upacara Peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-70 di lapangan Prof Dumadi Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Unnes, Senin (17/8).

Melalui kerja, Republik Indonesia akan dapat berdiri kokoh untuk selama-lamanya dan mampu mewujudkan semua cita-cita mulia yang termaktub dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945. Hal inilah yang menjadi landasan Gerakan Nasional “Ayo Kerja” Pada 70 Tahun Indonesia Merdeka.

Sebanyak 6.160 mahasiswa baru Unnes mengenakan pakaian putih hitam mengikuti Upacara yang dimulai pukul 07.00 dengan hidmat. Selain diikuti mahasiswa baru, upacara HUT RI ke-70 juga diikuti oleh dosen, karyawan, mahasiswa penerima beasiswa, mahasiswa pascasarjana, dosen, karyawan, dan anggota senat Unnes. Bertindak sebagai Pembina Upacara Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum.

Selain UKM Menwa sebagai petugas upacara, Upacara HUT RI ke-70 juga melibatkan UKM Marching Band, UKM Unnes Choir, UKM KSR, dan UKM Pramuka.
