Harapkan Hal Baru dari Monolog Berbahasa Jawa

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) akan menggelar Festival Monolog Berbahasa Jawa Tingkat Nasional, 23-24 Maret 2013. Pendaftaran festival yang baru pertama digelar ini dibuka hingga 16 Maret 2013.

Ketua pelaksana kegiatan Sendang Mulyana mengatakan, kegiatan diselenggarakan sebagai upaya pengembangan budaya Jawa. “Perlu adanya revitalisasi supaya budaya Jawa kian mengglobal, salah satunya melalui kreativitas dan daya ungkap baru ini,” ujarnya, Rabu (6/2) di Sekaran. Kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian Dies Natalis ke-48 Unnes dalam bidang seni dan budaya.

Monolog, Sendang mengatakan, sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan dalam khazanah budaya Jawa. “Orang Jawa mengenal istilah nggremeng dan ngudarasa di mana seseorang mengungkapkan pikiran, gagasan dan perasaan. Itulah ruh monolog,” kata dosen drama di Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS Unnes itu.

Pada pementasan, monolog berbahasa Jawa diharapkan berangkat dari sudut pandang “keakuan”, ngudarasa, dan mengeksplorasi keaktoran. “Memang dalam khazanah budaya Jawa sudah ada dalang wayang dan kentrung, tetapi dalam monolog, sudut pandang penceritaannya berbeda,” ujarnya.

Peserta festival ini dibatasi sejumlah 20 kelompok. Tiap kelompok terdiri atas 10 orang. Satu orang sebagai aktor, 9 lainnya sebagai kru. Tiap kelompok dipersilakan mementaskan lakon dengan durasi 45 menit termasuk persiapan. Naskah cerita dapat bersumber dari cerita klasik maupun mutakhir. Bahkan bisa menyadur dari cerita asing.
