Gubernur Dukung Penuh Sinden Idol

Gubernur Jawa Tengah H Bibit Waluyo menyatakan dukungan secara penuh terhadap Sinden Idol. Selain memberikan trofi dan hadiah, Gubernur juga berjanji untuk mempromosikan kegiatan yang digelar oleh Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) itu.

Dukungan tersebut disampaikan saat menerima tim penyelenggara yang dipimpin Rektor Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, Senin (29/10), di Gubernuran. Hadir dalam pertemuan tersebut Asisten Sekda Pemprov Jateng Bidang Kesra Edi Susanto, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan  Kebudayaan Nurhadi Amiyanto, Ketua Ikatan Keluarga Ikatan Alumni (Ika) Unnes Budiyanto, Dekan FBS Prof Agus Nuryatin, dan Sekretaris PWI Jateng Jayanto Arus Adi.

Menurut Gubernur, lomba sinden merupakan prakarsa yang pantas didukung di tengah-tengah keterlenaan masyarakat pada kesenian kontemporer. “Kesenian tradisional seperti sinden, wayang, dan ketoprak itu ibarat senjata pamungkas untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi. Jepang saja memegang tradisi, kita kok malah mau melupakan senjata pamungkas ini,” katanya.

Sebelumnya,  Rektor Unnes menyampaikan, Sinden Idol diselenggarakan sebagai upaya untuk merawat salah satu ikon budaya Nusantara. “Jangan sampai kita baru kebakaran jenggot setelah bangsa lain mengklaim sinden sebagai miliknya,” katanya.

Sebagaimana diberitakan sebelumnya, dengan dukungan Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Ikatan Keluarga Alumni Unnes,  PWI Jateng, dan Pepadi Jateng, Unnes menggelar Sinden Idol. Lomba yang berhadiah puluhan juta rupiah ini digelar untuk menjaring sinden muda terbaik.

“Peserta wanita atau laki-laki dengan usia maksimal 40 tahun. Pendaftaran sudah dibuka sejak 15 Oktober lalu hingga 14 November 2012.  Lomba akan didahului audisi yang diselenggarakan di lima kota, yakni Tegal, Pati, Kebumen, Wonogiri, dan Semarang.  Setelah itu mereka dikarantina untuk mendapatkan pelatihan sebelum mengikuti grand final 2 Desember 2012,” jelas Ketua Panitia Prof Agus Nuryatin.

Dikemukakan pula, peminat dapat mendaftarkan diri ke Dekanat FBS Unnes kampus Sekaran Gunungpati Semarang telepon 024-8508010 atau ke cabang Ika Unnes di setiap kabupaten. Pemenang akan memperebutkan  trofi Gubernur, Rektor Unnes, dan Ketua Umum Ika Unnes serta uang tunai puluhan juta rupiah.
