Kepada Bangsa Mestinya Generasi Muda Mengabdi

Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Keluarga Mahasiswa (KM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menggelar studium generale untuk mahasiswa baru, Sabtu (13/30), di auditorium kampus Sekaran. Hadir sebagai pembicara Dr Adiyaksa Dault SH MSi dan Nusron Wahid SS.

Acara yang dibuka Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi itu mengusung tema “Aku, Kampus, dan Masa Depan Bangsaku”. Acara dihadiri pula oleh  pejabat Akademi Kepolisian dan jajaran pimpinan Unnes.

Adyaksa yang juga Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga periode 2004-2009 mengemukakan, generasi muda harus mengabdi dan menjaga budaya bangsa. “Industri, investasi, individualis, dan informasi adalah  ‘4i’ yang merusak struktur dan kultur negara,” katanya.

Menurutnya, pembangunan gedung-gedung bertingkat dan tempat-tempat industri telah merampas lahan kreativitas generasi muda. “Menjamurnya budaya investasi membuat jiwa-jiwa bangsa ini menjadi konsumtif dan ingin menang sendiri. Apalagi didukung sifat individualis yang tak kenal dengan makna komunikasi,” katanya.

Dia mengibaratkan generasi sekarang seperti hidup di lift, datang dan pergi tanpa saling menyapa dan berhenti sampai di situ saja.

Mantan ketua KNPI yang menyayangkan pengelolaan kreativitas olah raga bagi pemuda yang semakin berkurang itu juga menyampaikan bahwa informasi tanpa batas telah merusak moral bangsa, tanpa batasan usia. “Informasi tanpa sensor hadir untuk semua kalangan, mulai dari film, sinetron, hingga acara-acara di televisi dihadirkan pada pagi saat generasi muda seharusnya mulai belajar dan berkarya.

Adiyaksa juga prihatin terhadap generasi muda yang telah luntur nasionalismenya. “Mereka lebih mengagung-agungkan budaya negara lain ketimbang budaya bangsanya sendiri. Boleh, tapi ingat bahwa kita punya budaya Indonesia,” tegasnya.

Ketertarikan mahasiswa tampak ketika Adiyaksa meminta beberapa pendapat dari mereka mengenai motivasi dan cita-cita. Banyak mahasiswa yang ingin menyampaikan pendapatnya, namun karena keterbatasan waktu, hanya lima mahasiswa sebagai wakil fakultas yang berkesempatan menyampaikan pendapatnya.

Penyampaian materi yang menarik mampu mengajak mahasiswa larut dalam motivasi yang disampaikannya. Menanamkan keyakinan bahwa kita mampu mencapai cita-cita adalah salah satu motivasi yang disampaikan Adiyaksa.

“Lahirlah kalian, besarlah kalian, bergunalah kalian, dan banggakanlah orang tua kalian,” katanya sebelum mengakhiri materi siang itu. Studium generale dilanjutkan paparan materi oleh Nusron Wahid SS, anggota DPR RI.
