Gelar FGD dan Research Gallery Walk, FBS UNNES Perkuat Budaya Riset

Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang (FBS UNNES) menyelenggarakan kegiatan akademik bertajuk Focus Group Discussion dan Research Gallery Walk, Jumat (13/6/2025). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat budaya riset, meningkatkan visibilitas penelitian, serta mendorong kolaborasi antar mahasiswa dan akademisi di bidang pendidikan bahasa Inggris.

Acara yang berlangsung di Ruang B11-103 FBS UNNES ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Dekan FBS UNNES Prof. Dr. Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum., serta Koordinator Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Dr. Sri Wahyuni, S.Pd., M.Pd. Kegiatan berlangsung dari pukul 08.00 hingga 16.00 WIB dengan menggabungkan diskusi panel formal dan presentasi poster dalam format galeri akademik.

FGD menghadirkan tiga narasumber dari berbagai perguruan tinggi, yaitu: Dr. Ika Wahyuni Lestari, M.Hum. (Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta), Dr. Novia Trisanti, M.Pd. (Universitas Negeri Semarang), dan Dr. Siti Aimah, M.Pd. (Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang).

Mahasiswa Pascasarjana Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris terlibat aktif dengan mempresentasikan riset mereka melalui dua format: Focus Group Discussion: Sesi diskusi kelompok kecil dengan umpan balik langsung dari para pakar dan Research Gallery Walk: Presentasi poster di ruang terbuka yang mendorong diskusi interaktif dan dialog antarmahasiswa.

Melalui kegiatan ini, Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FBS UNNES menunjukkan komitmennya dalam membangun budaya akademik yang kolaboratif dan berbasis riset. Mahasiswa didorong untuk mengembangkan pemikiran kritis, memperluas jejaring ilmiah, serta menjalin dialog lintas institusi.

Kegiatan ini selaras dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) poin 4, yakni Pendidikan Berkualitas, serta poin 17 tentang Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan. Keberhasilan acara ini menjadi langkah konkret dalam mendukung terciptanya lulusan yang berpikiran kritis dan siap berkontribusi dalam pengembangan pendidikan bahasa Inggris di tingkat nasional maupun global.
