Gandeng Kemenlu RI, FBS UNNES Selenggarakan Kuliah Umum Bertajuk PPTM

Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang bekerjasama dengan Kementerian Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia (Kemenlu RI) selenggarakan Kuliah Umum dalam rangka Pernyataan Pers Tahunan Menteri Luar Negeri (PPTM) 2023 secara live (12/1).

PPTM merupakan program tahunan Menteri Luar Negeri dalam rangka mendiseminasikan dan menyebarluaskan berbagai capaian diplomasi Indonesia tahun sebelumnya dan prioritas Politik Luar Negeri Indonesia di tahun berjalan.

Delapan belas mahasiswa Program Studi Sastra Inggris turut aktif berpartisipasi dalam Kuliah Umum PPTM 2023 yang diisi oleh Sri Sumaryani selaku Pembahas.

Mahasiswa-mahasiswa tersebut dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok kecil yang beranggotakan 3-4 orang. Selanjutnya, kelompok-kelompok ini membahas rencana program dari Kementerian Luar Negeri 2023 sesuai dengan urgensi dan prioritas.

Merujuk pada hasil pembahasan secara umum yang dipaparkan melalui presentasi, sektor ekonomi tampaknya perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus, terlebih karena adanya isu resesi.

Meskipun Sekretaris Jenderal Persatuan Bangsa Bangsa (PBB) António Guterres menjelaskan bahwa secara umum Indonesia tidak perlu khawatir tentang resesi ekonomi, namun upaya diplomasi ekonomi secara bilateral dan multilateral perlu mendapat prioritas.

Masing-masing juru bicara dari kelompok mahasiswa juga setuju bahwa di tengah ancaman konflik ekonomi dan politik, Indonesia harus terus konsisten dalam memberikan solusi. Indonesia harus mampu memainkan perannya secara bijaksana dalam percaturan politik dunia.

Tema yang diusung dalam PPTM 2023 adalah Leadership in a Challenging World. Tema ini selaras dengan pelaksanaan diplomasi Indonesia. Sebagai Presidensi G20 tahun 2022, Indonesia berhasil membangkitkan kembali semangat kerja sama dan kolaborasi global. KTT G20 di Bali menghasilkan Leaders’ Declaration yang merefleksikan komitmen bersama G20 untuk berkolaborasi mengatasi tantangan global.

Sementara di tahun 2023, Indonesia memegang mandat Keketuaan ASEAN. Indonesia perlu memastikan kesatuan dan sentralitas ASEAN agar dapat terus berperan sebagai jangkar perdamaian dan kemakmuran kawasan. Indonesia ingin mewujudkan ASEAN yang tangguh memiliki kapabilitas dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan global, serta menjadi pusat pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Tidak hanya di G20 dan ASEAN, Indonesia juga menjalankan peran esensialnya di berbagai forum internasional untuk menjadi solusi dan bridge builder dalam menjawab berbagai tantangan global yang saat ini muncul.
