The 2025 UNNES Summer Camp, an international inter-university collaboration program between Semarang State University and UiTM Pulau Pinang Malaysia, was held on August 13, 2025, and was attended by UNNES Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Sc., Akt., and UNNES Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM.
The event covered SDGs, including SDG 3 (Good Health), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals).
The series of activities included the UNNES Maju (Forward) exercise in front of the UNNES Rectorate, communication skills training, tree planting, and the signing of the IA (Agreement on Achievement) collaboration agreement, which took place at the UNNES Faculty of Engineering.
UNNES Vice Rector I, Prof. In his remarks, Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., expressed his gratitude to the UiTM delegation for the opportunity to visit UNNES and expressed his hope for the ongoing collaboration. The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., also added at a different time and location that he hoped this collaboration would continue, as evidenced by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (IA) and the symbolic planting of trees in the area surrounding the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES.

UiTM Associate Lecturer, Prof. Dr. Khanom Binti Simarani, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and full support provided by UNNES.
“We hope this collaboration will continue to thrive. We are grateful for the exceptional service, diverse activities, and opportunities to exchange knowledge and new experiences,” he said.
The summer camp was comprehensive, including the official opening and signing of the MoA, a campus tour, and academic classes by guest lecturers. Participants also participated in an idea pitching session, an industrial visit to PT Kuria (Malibu), and an exploration of Semarang’s culture at Sam Poo Kong, Lawang Sewu, and Kota Lama.
A social gathering and the presentation of visiting lecturer certificates marked the strengthening of the relationship between the two institutions. The closing ceremony, scheduled for August 17th, commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FIK) Field at UNNES, which held profound significance for the Malaysian delegation.
More than just a short program, this summer camp laid the foundation for a long-term collaboration that combines academic excellence, cross-cultural friendship, and global awareness of environmental sustainability.
