A team of UNNES intern students in collaboration with IT Pedia succeeded in creating Sidesa Candirejo, Borobudur, Magelang Regency, a web-based digital system that changes the way the administration of the tourism village is managed, which was implemented on Monday, June 2, 2025.
This initiative serves as a real solution to the manual administration system that has been implemented in the village office. For one week, students and the successful team designed important features such as automation of invitation creation, visiting letters, summaries of incoming and outgoing letters, partner registration, and recording visitor data.
UNNES PTIK student Apriansyah Wibowo explained that this project is not only a means of practical work, but also a real manifestation of UNNES students’ contribution to the community.
“We appreciate this trust and collaboration.” This collaboration is concrete evidence of UNNES as an influential university. “It is hoped that this kind of innovation can continue to spread and motivate other students to be more active in contributing to the community,” he said.
The secretary of the Candirejo tourist village cooperative, Rifa, expressed a positive opinion regarding the convenience provided by the system.
“Sidesa Candirejo really makes things easier for us in practical aspects.” Now we don’t need to type in Microsoft Word very often. Just enter the data and press submit, the letter will be created automatically—very efficient in terms of energy and time,” he said.
Dean of FT UNNES Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. greatly appreciates the innovation and creativity that has been channeled by FT UNNES students to the surrounding community, this shows that FT UNNES students have a sense of dedication and care about the progress of the surrounding area. The Dean of FT UNNES hopes that this step can be an example for other students to continue to innovate by advancing the surrounding community area.
This event also received direct direction from Septian Eko Prasetyo, S.Pd., M.Eng., founder of IT Pedia and field supervisor lecturer at UNNES. The Sidesa Candirejo project is the result of close collaboration between six other students: Farid Akhwan, M. Nizar Arhamni, Dwi Pambudi Utomo, Arya Wahyu Wibowo, Alifian, and Fatkhur Rizal Dzabadi, who together realized this system as real evidence of UNNES’ contribution in digitizing villages tourism.
