On September 20 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University again held the 12th EIC or Engineering International Conference which coincided with ICEST 2023 or the 3rd International Conference on Engineering, Science and Technology with the theme “Innovation and Application of Green Technology for Post- Pandemic Recovery”.
This international conference was held at the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University online via the zoom platform and was attended by many participants from various universities in Indonesia and other countries such as Nigeria, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Hundreds of participants took part in the conference this year.
The Engineering International Conference (EIC) itself is an annual routine event held by the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University as a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to share research results, ideas and concepts with various scopes such as biomass conversion, biotechnology and bioprocesses, green technology, waste processing, renewable energy, renewable and sustainable materials, biodegradable materials, renewable sources, and so on.
This activity presents Keynote Speakers from various universities, both domestic and foreign, including:
1. Dr. Stephane Bressan from the National University of Singapore,
2. Prof. Dr. Mahadzir bin Ishak from Universiti Malaysia Pahang,
3. Assoc. Prof. Pornthipa Ongkunaruk, Ph.D. from Kasetsart University.
4. Prof. Dr. Samsudin Anis, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. from Semarang State University.
Prof. Adhi Kusumastuti, as chairman of the committee, said that it was hoped that this activity would be able to develop the lecturers’ ability to carry out international standard research and publications. Apart from that, this activity aims to provide a discussion forum for experts, government, industry, lecturers, teachers, students and organizations or other stakeholders for various research results, ideas and concepts in the field of green technology.
Mr. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University, as the person in charge of EIC activities, explained that EIC will continue to be implemented every year and become a forum for innovation for technological development, especially in the field of green technology.
