Monday (17/7/2023) the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University as the host of the Indonesian Association of Technology and Vocational Education Experts (PAPTEKINDO) has successfully held the event. The PAPTEKINDO event will be held from 12-14 July 2023 at the UNNES Auditorium and the UNNES Faculty of Engineering, with a series of core events such as the Welcoming Dinner, International Conference and Convention (VEIC), and ending the City Tour activities around the city of Semarang to the Pekalongan Batik Market. The number of participants from all LPTKs throughout Indonesia was around 759 participants.
The Welcoming Dinner or event for welcoming participants begins on July 12 2023 at the UNNES Auditorium. The participants were presented with a performance from female students from the PKK Department, as well as snacks typical of the city of Semarang.
Hybrid International Conference and Convention (VEIC) which was held on July 13 2023 at the UNNES Auditorium. The speakers or Keynote Speakers at the 2023 VEIC event included, (1) Prof. Dr. Nunuk Suryani, M.Pd. (2) Prof. Dr. Kongkiti Phusavat (3) Assoc Prof. Dr. Alias Bin Masek (4) Dr. Wardani Sugiyanto, M.Pd. After the VEIC activity, the participants were directed to go to the UNNES Faculty of Engineering to take part in the next event, namely the Parallel Session.
The main topic of the 2023 PAPTEKINDO International Conference and Convention is “Link and Match between TVET and Industrial Needs in Supporting the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM)” which was developed based on last year’s conference theme “Strengthening Technology and Vocational Competence in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Towards Society 5.0” The main objectives of this conference are to (1) bring together researchers, practitioners, students, and representatives of civil society organizations in a scientific forum, and (2) share and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge about vocational education, innovation in applied science, and engineering .
In the Convention Report, Vice Chancellor IV Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, M.T., IPM as Chair of PAPTEKINDO in 2023 said that the results of the decision for the next PAPTEKINDO activity would be carried out in 2025 at Padang State University. Congratulations to Prof. dr. Ernawati, M.Pd., Ph.D. (Dean of FPP UNP Padang) has been elected chairman of PAPTEKINDO in 2025. Deputy Chairperson Prof. Dr. Andoko, S.T., M.T. (UM Malang), Secretary Dr. A.G. Thamrin, M.Pd., M.Sc. (UNS Surakarta), Treasurer Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. (UNNES Semarang).
PAPTEKINDO’s activities were closed with a City Tour around the City of Semarang, starting from Sam Poo Kong, Lawang Sewu, the Old City, the Great Mosque of Central Java, and the Pekalongan Batik Market.
