Monday (10/7/2023) the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University again increased the number of professors, 2 professors were inaugurated on Wednesday, 5 July 2023 at the UNNES Auditorium Building. The Professor’s inauguration is carried out simultaneously with other Professors from different Faculties. Counting there were 10 Professors who were inaugurated at the same time, the evidence that UNNES consistently encourages innovation and development of science.

Professors from the UNNES Faculty of Engineering who have been confirmed are:
Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman, M.Pd.,
Professor of Automotive Education Management Science

Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman, M.Pd. is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering in the field of Automotive Education Management Science. He presented his scientific oration entitled “Management of Automotive Competency Tests in Vocational High Schools”. The man who was born in Kudus, September 3, 1960 stressed the importance of competency tests for SMK graduates. “Slogans that have been frequently put forward by officials, such as PASTI BISA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL and GRADUATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL READY TO WORK, need to be followed up with real action to realize these slogans. One way is to improve the implementation of the competency test which is a measure of student competency before the Business and Industrial World (DUDI). If DUDI believes that the implementation of the competency test at SMK is as desired, it will be easy for them to recruit SMK graduates who are competency certified,” said the former General Chair of the Central Java Indonesian Student Sports Advisory Board (Bapomi).

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khumaedi, M.Pd.
Professor of Research Science and Evaluation of Vocational Education

As an expert in educational research and evaluation, Prof. Muhammd Khumaedi MPd has a great concern for the world of vocational education. He explained his idea regarding “Evaluation of the Implementation of Learning in Mechanical Engineering Vocational High Schools”. According to the Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, to answer the problems of implementing learning at the Mechanical Engineering Vocational School, it is necessary to carry out a thorough evaluation. “Evaluation is a process for measuring and making decisions about what is being measured. This evaluation is very necessary in every activity program, including in this case the implementation of learning at the Mechanical Engineering Vocational School, “said the Professor in the field of Research and Evaluation of Vocational Education. Prof. Khumaedi is also known for actively publishing his works and findings. He has published 40 articles in national and international journals in the last 5 years.
