FMIPA UNNES Gelar ICMSE 2021, Tempat Berbagi Keilmuan Terkini Bidang Matematika dan Ilmu Alam

Sebagai universitas yang menjunjung tinggi tri dharma perguruan tinggi, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) senantiasa bertumbuh dengan berbagai riset yang berimplementasi pada masyarakat, khususnya warga Jawa Tengah. Untuk mewujudkan hal ini Fakultas Ilmu Matematika dan IPA (FMIPA) UNNES menyelenggarakan International Conference on Mathematics, Science, and Education (ICMSE 2021) secara Daring, Selasa (5/10).

ICMSE 2021 merupakan event tahunan yang telah memasuki tahun kedelapan. ICMSE kedelapan ini akan berlangsung dua hari sampai dengan Rabu, 6 Oktober 2021. Konferensi internasional ini mengusung tema “Opportunities and Challenges for Research and Innovation in Mathematics, Science, and Education in Post-Pandemic Era”.

konferensi kali ini menghadirkan enam orang pembicara, mereka adalah Dr.Yasmi Louhasakul Yala dari Rajabhat University Thailand, Prof Kinya Shimizu dari Hirosima University Japan, Prof Cher Ping Lim dari The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, Dr Mohd Shafiq bin Aazmi dari Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia, Ezza Syuhada Binti S PhD dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia, dan Zaenal Abidin PhD dari Universitas Negeri Semarang Indonesia.

Kegiatan ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Zaenuri Mastur SE MSi Akt. Dalam sambutannya menyampaikan apresiasi yang tinggi atas penyelenggaraan konferensi internasional yang menggandeng kerja sama dengan Universitas dalam negeri dan Universitas luar negeri.

“Saya atas nama Universitas Negeri Semarang menyampaikan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya atas penyelenggaraan Konfernsi Internasional dengan sinergi antara UNNES dengan Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia dan Asosiasi MIPA LPTK Indonesia (AMLI): Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Negeri Medan, Universitas Negeri Padang, Universitas Negeri Manado, Universitas Negeri Makasar, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, dan Universitas Negeri Surabaya,” tuturnya.

Prof Zaenuri menambahkan, ICMSE digelar sebagai landasan bagi para peneliti, pakar, dan praktisi dari akademisi, pemerintah, LSM, lembaga penelitian, dan industri untuk menyebarkan gagasan keilmuan terkini di bidang matematika dan ilmu alam.

Selain itu ICMSE juga berkontribusi meningkatkan pemahaman tentang hubungan antara pengetahuan dan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan matematika dan sains.

Sementara, Ketua panitia Endang Sugiharti MKom melaporkan bahwa lebih dari 409 peserta turut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini.

hadir juga peserta berasal dari negara lain, yaitu Malaysia, Jepang, Perancis, Mesir, Kamboja, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, dan Thailand. Sesi paralel kegiatan ini diikuti pemakalah sebanyak 275 peserta, pungkasnya.
