FMIPA UNNES Bersama Oracle Academy Fasilitasi Dosen Mendapatkan Sertifikasi Kompetensi

Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) saat ini menyelenggarakan kegiatan Java Fundamental Virtual Class Training of Trainer (ToT).

Kegiatan ini berlangsung atas kerja sama dengan Oracle Academy, sebuah institusi pendidikan yang bergerak dibidang piranti lunak dengan produk database dan programming, yang berpusat di Redwood City, California. Kegiatan ToT yang sedianya dilaksanakan secara tatap muka pada bulan Maret 2020, akhirnya diundur menjadi tanggal 18 Agustus – 2 September 2020 dengan mode daring karena adanya pandemic COVID-19.

Ketua Panitia, Riza Arifudin SPd MCs dalam laporannya, menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ToT ini diikuti oleh 35 dosen dari 14 perguruan tinggi, yaitu 16 dosen dari FMIPA UNNES, 2 dosen dari FT UNNES dan 17 dosen dari Luar UNNES.

Dekan FMIPA UNNES, Dr Sugianto MSi saat membuka acara menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ToT ini sangat bermanfaat bagi peserta sebagai upaya untuk fasilitasi dosen mendapatkan sertifikasi kompetensi agar nantinya memiliki kewenangan memberikan sertifikat kompetensi kepada mahasiswanya. Adapun syarat untuk bisa menerbitkan sertifikat kompetensi mahasiswa, maka kurikulum sebuah program studi harus disinergikan dengan kurikulum Oracle Academy.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Nurul Huda selaku Oracle Academy Country Manager Indonesia, Malaysia dan Brunei Darusalam memberikan apresiasi yang sebesar-besarnya terhadap FMIPA UNNES atas penyelenggaraan kegiatan ToT daring kali ini.

Kegiatan ToT dipandu oleh Nisfu Asrul Sani SKom MSc yang merupakan trainer tersertifikasi dari Oracle Academy. Peserta mengikuti pelatihan secara rutin setiap pukul 09.00-12.00 WIB dilanjutkan dengan pengerjaan tugas yang diberikan instruktur serta pengerjaan quiz yang tersedia dalam kurikulum Java Fundamentals Oracle Academy. Ujian sertifikasi kelulusan peserta dilaksanakan usai pelatihan berakhir.

Peserta yang lulus sertifikasi berhak menjadi instruktur Oracle Academy di program studi mereka masing-masing. Terdapat 3 software yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu Alice, Greenfoot dan Eclipse. Kombinasi ketiga software dalam penerapannya di kurikulum Oracle Academy menuntun peserta untuk mendapatkan passion atau minat dalam coding yang dikemas secara berjenjang dari tingkat dasar sampai dengan tingkat lanjut.
