FK UNNES Dukung UMK Semarang Tingkatkan Literasi Halal dan Akses Sertifikasi

Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Negeri Semarang (FK UNNES) menyelenggarakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa edukasi halal bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro dan Kecil (UMK) pangan di Kota Semarang. Kegiatan berlangsung sejak 10 Juli hingga 6 Agustus 2025 dengan melibatkan delapan UMK mitra.

Program ini dipimpin oleh Safrina Oksidriyani, M.P.H. bersama tim dosen pelaksana, yakni Putri Tiara Rosha, S.K.M., M.P.H. dan Refani Alycia Kusuma, M.Gz., serta mendapat dukungan mahasiswa Program Studi Gizi FK UNNES. Inisiatif ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kepemilikan sertifikat halal di kalangan UMK. Berdasarkan data Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH), hingga Mei 2024 baru 4,4 juta produk tersertifikasi halal dari target 10 juta. Di Kota Semarang, jumlah UMK pangan yang telah memiliki sertifikat halal baru sekitar 30 persen.

Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan kunjungan ke mitra untuk pemetaan kebutuhan dan pengisian pre-test. Selanjutnya peserta mengikuti edukasi tentang konsep halal, urgensi sertifikasi, regulasi terbaru, hingga praktik standar operasional produksi halal. Pelatihan diselenggarakan dengan metode tatap muka dan daring melalui video conference. Peserta juga memperoleh modul, leaflet, dan panduan SOP halal sebagai bahan ajar.

“Pendekatan multimodal ini kami pilih agar lebih fleksibel. UMK bisa belajar langsung lewat praktik sederhana maupun lewat materi cetak yang bisa mereka pelajari kapan saja,” ujar ketua tim pengabdi.

Antusiasme peserta tampak dari jalannya diskusi, khususnya mengenai kendala teknis dan biaya sertifikasi. Salah satu peserta, Ibu Siti, pelaku UMK kue kering, menyampaikan kesan positifnya.

“Saya baru tahu kalau sertifikasi halal tidak serumit yang saya bayangkan. Dengan modul dan penjelasan dari tim UNNES, saya jadi lebih percaya diri untuk mengurus sertifikat halal,” ujarnya.

Sebagai tindak lanjut, tim pengabdi menyerahkan modul, panduan SOP, dan leaflet kepada mitra agar dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Harapannya, hasil dari program ini mampu memperkuat ekosistem pangan halal di Kota Semarang sekaligus meningkatkan daya saing UMK baik di pasar domestik maupun internasional.

“Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan literasi halal, tetapi juga membuka jalan bagi UMK untuk lebih kompetitif di pasar,” ungkap salah satu pelaku UMK.

Kehadiran program ini menegaskan komitmen UNNES dalam memberdayakan UMK serta mendukung implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 33 Tahun 2014 tentang Jaminan Produk Halal.
