Semarang, June 24, 2026 – The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) successfully held the 5th International Seminar on Education and Human Technology (ISEHT) 2026 on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the FIPP Dean’s Hall, 3rd Floor. This international seminar was part of a series of activities to celebrate Semarang State University’s 61st anniversary and strengthened UNNES’ commitment to promoting internationalization, research collaboration, and the dissemination of scientific work globally.
Embracing the spirit of international academic collaboration, ISEHT 2026 featured three keynote speakers: Dr. Jonathan Loo from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom; Dr. Feng Zhao from Central South University, China; and Dr. Rafika Bayu K. from Semarang State University. The three speakers shared their perspectives on the latest developments in education, technology, and research relevant to current global challenges.
The event was attended by more than 150 participants, consisting of lecturers, students, researchers, and academics from various universities. The enthusiasm of the participants demonstrated the high level of interest in international scientific forums as a platform for sharing knowledge, expanding academic networks, and building research collaborations across institutions and countries.
The seminar was divided into two main sessions. The first session was a keynote session, featuring presentations by three international and national speakers on strategic issues in education, technology, and research development. The various ideas and experiences shared provided new insights into learning innovation, digital transformation, and the importance of global collaboration in producing impactful research.
Meanwhile, the second session featured parallel presentations by 52 presenters from various universities. The presenters presented research results that had gone through a selection process and would be published in the seminar proceedings, indexed by the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). The presence of authors from various institutions demonstrates that ISEHT has developed into a scientific forum capable of bringing together academics from various disciplines to exchange ideas and research results.
As an annual international scientific conference organized by FIPP UNNES, ISEHT continues to play a strategic role in improving the quality of scientific publications, expanding research collaboration networks, and encouraging innovations that benefit society. The output, in the form of DOAJ-indexed proceedings, is expected to increase the visibility of academic research results while strengthening UNNES’s contribution to the development of science internationally.
The 5th ISEHT 2026 also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) through strengthening the quality of higher education and knowledge dissemination, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the development of research-based innovation, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthening international academic partnerships.
Through this international seminar, FIPP UNNES reaffirms its commitment to becoming a leading, innovative, and globally competitive center for the development of educational science and psychology. It is hoped that ISEHT will continue to be a collaborative space that produces quality research and makes tangible contributions to sustainable educational development at the national and international levels.
