SEMARANG – The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a strategic event titled “Accelerating the Studies of 2019 Students” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Held in the Dean’s Office on the 3rd Floor, the meeting featured cross-disciplinary collaboration involving faculty leaders, Heads of Study Programs, supervisors, as well as parents and students.

Synergy and Friendship

The Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., emphasized in his remarks that the presence of parents on campus is not merely an administrative matter, but an effort to strengthen synergy.

“We brought parents, students, and supervisors together to find the best solution. Our main goal is to ensure that 2019 students can complete their studies smoothly and at the same time strengthen the bonds between the institution and the students’ families,” said Prof. Edy.

Chasing the July 2026 Validation Deadline

Vice Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs, Farid Ahmadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., provided motivational encouragement and a reminder regarding the academic timeline. He reminded that the urgency of completing these studies is closely related to the approaching study deadline.

“The validation deadline for graduation is July 31, 2026. Therefore, solid collaboration between study programs, supervisors, parents, and students themselves is necessary to eliminate existing obstacles,” emphasized Farid Ahmadi.

Guided Discussion for Concrete Solutions

The event continued with a special discussion session (breakout session). In this session, Study Program Coordinators and Supervisors engaged in direct dialogue with parents and students. This forum was used to identify specific obstacles in completing the thesis/final project, develop a realistic study completion timeline by July 2026, and agree on a joint commitment to expediting guidance.

Through this proactive step, FIPP UNNES is committed to minimizing the number of students who exceed their study period and ensuring that every student in the 2019 intake receives maximum support towards graduating on time.
