The 2026 Research and Community Service Socialization Program Encourages Improved Research Quality and Contributions to Society

Semarang, November 20, 2025 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a 2026 Research and Community Service Socialization on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. This activity served as a forum for lecturers to gain information and understanding regarding the implementation of research and community service programs in the coming year.
The activity was attended by the academic community of FIPP UNNES. Through this socialization, lecturers had the opportunity to understand the direction of research and community service implementation, while also preparing programs that are in line with the needs of scientific development and issues faced by society.
Research and community service are important parts of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Research plays a role in generating knowledge and innovation, while community service serves as a means of applying scientific results to provide real benefits to society. Therefore, targeted and quality program planning is needed so that both activities can have a broader and sustainable impact.
This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, especially through strengthening academic culture, developing lecturer capacity, and improving the quality of research within the university environment. Strengthening research and community service activities is expected to encourage the development of knowledge and educational practices relevant to community needs.
Through this outreach, lecturers are expected to prepare research proposals and community service programs in a more planned, innovative, and benefit-oriented manner. Thus, research and community service activities not only support academic development but also strengthen the university’s contribution to improving the quality of education and addressing community needs.
