FIPP UNNES Holds Public Lecture and Orientation for New Postgraduate Students 2025
Semarang, August 27, 2025 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) held a Public Lecture and Orientation for New Postgraduate Students of FIPP UNNES 2025 on Monday, August 25, 2025. This activity was part of the welcoming ceremony for new students as well as an introduction to the academic environment for students continuing their education at the postgraduate level.
The activity carried the theme “Intelligent Innovation, Integrity in Service, FIPP UNNES Postgraduate Students for Mother Earth”. This theme emphasized the importance of innovation, integrity, and service as the main values that students need to develop during their higher education. Through the public lecture and orientation, students are expected to gain an understanding of the academic role and responsibilities in supporting the development of science and society.
The public lecture and orientation also provide an opportunity for new students to get to know the academic environment, learning culture, and institutional values of FIPP UNNES. This provision is expected to help students adapt to the demands of postgraduate education, including in developing critical thinking skills, research, innovation, and academic contributions with integrity.
This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, particularly in promoting access to quality higher education and developing learner competencies and character. Postgraduate education plays a strategic role in producing human resources capable of developing knowledge, generating innovation, and contributing to sustainable development.
Through the 2025 Postgraduate New Student Orientation and Public Lecture, FIPP UNNES hopes that students can begin their academic journey with a passion for learning, integrity, and a commitment to serving the community. These values are expected to be the foundation for students in completing their studies and making real contributions to the advancement of education and the nation.
