FH.UNNES.AC.ID – Semarang, the Semarang State University law faculty alumni family association (IKA FH UNNES) held an alumni gathering with the theme Cross-Profession, Cross-Generation and Cross-Scientific Meeting which was held on Saturday (02/11/19) located at the UNNES Science House Library.
The event, which was attended by more than 40 alumni from various professions and across generations, was also attended by the dean of the Faculty of Law, Unnes, Dr. Rodiyah and the deputy dean and head of this section opened with the Mandau Talawang dance performed by the West Kotawaringin Student Association.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Rodiyah, expressed his gratitude to the alumni who have participated in significantly improving the FH UNNES alma mater through the friendship that has been established every year. The Dean added that the reputation of FH UNNES would not develop without help from alumni. For this reason, the Dean hopes that this activity will continue to be carried out.
Chairman of IKA FH UNNES, Muhtar Said, familiarly called Mas Said, in his speech said that this meeting was held thanks to the hard work of the committee in dividing their time between their respective activities. This event was also chaired by Hendry Syahrial, an alumni of FH UNNES, class of 2009. Muhtar Said, who is also the Head of the Legal Studies Study Program at the Indonesian Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNUSIA) Jakarta, also said that the size of IKA FH Unnes was because the alumni cared about the organization and supported the organization.
Muhtar Said in his speech also quoted one of Indonesia’s legal figures, Soepomo, namely, “basically, individuals do not work for individuals but individuals work for groups in society”. “This means that I cannot create alone, but I can create because of you,” continued Said in a statement he quoted from Soepomo.
