Edukasi Sejarah melalui Cepu Walking Tour, Mahasiswa UNNES Dorong Pelestarian Heritage

Upaya pelestarian warisan budaya terus diperkuat melalui berbagai pendekatan edukatif yang melibatkan generasi muda, salah satunya melalui kegiatan eksplorasi cagar budaya di Cepu. Perguruan tinggi, melalui program pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, turut berperan dalam meningkatkan literasi sejarah sekaligus mendorong pemanfaatan kawasan heritage secara berkelanjutan.

Mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Sejarah, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Muhammad Davin Pratama, menunjukkan kontribusi nyata melalui Program Magang Berdampak. Program ini tidak hanya menjadi sarana pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa, tetapi juga memberikan dampak langsung bagi masyarakat.

Kontribusi tersebut diwujudkan dalam kegiatan kokurikuler luar kelas bertajuk “Menyusuri Nadi Kolonial: Eksplorasi Cagar Budaya Cepu” yang diselenggarakan oleh SMA Negeri 1 Cepu pada 6–7 April 2026. Dalam kegiatan ini, Davin berperan sebagai mahasiswa magang sekaligus Founder Cepu Walking Tour yang menjadi pemandu edukatif berbasis sejarah lokal.

Melalui aktivitas Cepu Walking Tour, peserta didik diajak menyusuri kawasan bersejarah, termasuk Gedung Societeit Sasono Suko. Pendekatan experiential learning memungkinkan siswa mempelajari sejarah secara kontekstual melalui pengalaman langsung di ruang-ruang bersejarah, tidak terbatas pada pembelajaran di dalam kelas.

Kegiatan ini menjadi wujud implementasi Magang Berdampak UNNES dalam meningkatkan literasi sejarah peserta didik sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya identitas lokal. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memperkuat upaya pelestarian warisan budaya melalui pemanfaatan ruang kota secara berkelanjutan.

Kawasan heritage tidak lagi dipandang sebagai ruang pasif, melainkan sebagai ruang edukatif yang hidup, produktif, dan memiliki nilai keberlanjutan bagi masyarakat. Inisiatif Cepu Walking Tour menunjukkan bagaimana pendekatan kreatif dapat menghidupkan kembali kawasan bersejarah melalui edukasi publik.

Integrasi antara pembelajaran sejarah, pelestarian budaya, dan partisipasi generasi muda menjadi praktik baik dalam pengembangan kawasan berbasis heritage. Hal ini sejalan dengan semangat pembangunan berbasis potensi lokal yang mendukung penguatan kapasitas daerah melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya sejarah dan budaya.

Melalui Program Magang Berdampak dan inovasi Cepu Walking Tour, UNNES terus mendorong peran aktif mahasiswa dalam menjaga keberlanjutan kawasan perkotaan melalui pelestarian warisan budaya sebagai bagian dari identitas dan masa depan bersama.
