Dukung Reputasi, UNNES Gandeng Polda Jateng

Dalam mendukung tujuan, visi, dan misi Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yakni menjalin kerja sama institusi dalam menunjang penguatan kelembagaan yang bereputasi internasional, UNNES kembali bekerja sama dengan Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Jawa Tengah (Jateng).

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum didampingi Wakil Rektor dan pejabat di lingkungan UNNES melakukan audiensi dengan Kepala Kepolisian Daerah (Kapolda) Jawa Tengah Irjen Pol Drs Condro Kirono MM MHum di kantor dinas Kapolda Jateng Gedung Itwasda Semarang, Kamis (20/7).

Tujuan audiensi tersebut adalah silaturahmi antara UNNES dengan Polda Jateng, kemudian kerja sama untuk mencegah penyalahgunaan narkoba, radikalisme, dan organisasi terlarang dikalangan mahasiswa.

Rektor menyampaikan, di tengah era globalisasi saat ini kampus sangat rentan dan mudah untuk menjadi sasaran penyebaran narkoba. Oleh karena itu, UNNES terus berupaya untuk turut serta secara aktif memerangi narkoba.

“Narkoba memiliki sifat adiktif dan mampu mengubah perilaku penggunanya, tentu hal tersebut sangat merugikan, termasuk bagi mahasiswa. Sejak tahun 2015, UNNES telah melakukan tes urine terhadap mahasiswa baru. Ini adalah langkah UNNES untuk mengantisipasi peredaran narkoba didalam kampus. Tak hanya mahasiswa, seluruh pimpinan UNNES juga melakukan tes narkoba” jelas Rektor.

Tes urine tersebut, tambah Rektor, terselenggara atas kerjasama UNNES dengan Badan Nasional Narkotika Provinsi (BNNP) Jawa Tengah dan Diresnarkoba Polda Jateng. Kedepan, tes narkoba akan dilakukan secara rutin bagi setiap mahasiswa UNNES.

“Selain melakukan tes urine, dalam rangka memerangi peredaran dan penggunaan narkoba, UNNES telah menerapkan kebijakan bagi pimpinan atau mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam perederan atau mengonsumsi narkoba” tegas Profesor bidang Sosiolinguistik tersebut.
Rektor berharap kerja sama institusi seperti ini dapat terus terjalin, untuk itu UNNES meminta dukungan dari Polda Jawa Tengah dalam upaya memerangi narkoba, radikalisme, dan organisasi terlarang dIkalangan mahasiswa UNNES.

Sementara itu, Kapolda Jateng Irjen Pol Drs Condro Kirono MM MHum mengatakan bahwa pihaknya siap membantu UNNES, dan siap mendukung yang di butuhkan UNNES.
“Terima kasih atas kunjungan silaturahminya saya sangat senang, memang bibit-bibit penerus pendidik ini harus di pantau sedemikian rupa supaya kedepan, bisa menjadi calon-calon pendidik yang berkualitas” jelas Kapolda Jateng.
