Dukung Program Urban Farming Kota Semarang, Mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan UNNES Angkatan 2 Kembangkan Automatic Misting System Berbasis IoT

Mahasiswa PPG jurusan PGSD Universitas Negeri Semarang yang sedang melaksanakan PPL di SDN Tambakajo 03 kecamatan Ngaliyan, Kota Semarang melakukan ujicoba perdana sistem penyiraman tanaman berbasis Internet of Things yang terintegrasi dengan Aplikasi di ponsel.

Pengembangan ini merupakan kolaborasi antara sekolah yang dikoordinatori oleh Havid Adhitama bersama 7 rekan lainnya yaitu Roisul, Haniva, Laila, Indah, Miqwati dan Dewi bersama-sama merancang dan merakit sistem otomasi sekaligus instalasi sprayer di kebun sekolah yang dikelola oleh wali murid.

Ia menuturkan bahwa pengembangan Automatic Misting System ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk membantu optimalisasi perawatan tanaman di lingkungan sekolah yang meminimalkan waktu untuk berkebun.

“Dengan sistem otomatis ini, kedepan Kepala sekolah, Guru, dan juga penjaga sekolah tidak lagi repot-repot meluangkan waktunya untuk menyirami sayuran yang mereka tanam di kebun. Alat ini akan bekerja secara otomatis sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah di setting ataupun dihidupkan secara jarak jauh melalui ponsel ketika tidak ada orang di SD seperti pada saat libur semester” Ujar Havid.

Menurut penuturanya, saat ini sudah terpasang 30 nozzle sprayer yang diintegrasikan pada lahan kebun sekolah seluas 180 meter persegi, intalasi ini menggunakan pompa high-pressure yang dapat memompa air ke titik siram 12 liter per menit dengan tekanan maksimum 130 psi.

Kepala Sekolah SDN Tambakaji 03, Sriyanti sangat mengapresiasi project ini, “Pengelolaan SMART GARDEN yg selama ini kami impikan di sekolah akhirnya bisa terwujud, khususnya pada sektor penyiraman otomatis berbasis IoT yang adik-adik PPL kembangkan di SDN Tambakaji 03, saya berharap inovasi ini bisa meningkatkan hasil panen dari kebun sekolah guna pengupayaan ketahanan pangan secara mikro”.

“Saya harap kolaborasi ini bisa membawa perubahan yang signifikan di SDN Tambakaji 03, terutama pengenalan otomasi dan teknologi IoT yang masih minim diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah maupun dunia pendidikan” Pungkas Havid.

Inovasi yang dikembangkan oleh Havid dan rekan-rekannya bukanlah yang pertama kali, sebelumnya pada program kampus Mengajar Angkatan 1, ia berhasil mengujicobakan berkirim media pembelajaran melalui satelit IO-86 LAPAN A2 ORARI di SD 3T yang tidak terjangkau oleh sinyal dan mendapat apresiasi dari Kemendikbud tempo hari.
