Dukung Pengembangan UMKM, Tim Pengabdian UNNES Hadirkan Alat Portable Penyembelihan Kambing

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus mengukir prestasi melalui inovasi dan penerapan teknologi terbaru yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Kali ini, UNNES meluncurkan proyek inovatif yang bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra masyarakatnya, yaitu usaha sate kambing “Putro Widodo” Semarang. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah proses pemotongan dan penyembelihan kambing.

Dalam upaya menjawab tantangan ini, Tim UNNES yang diketuai oleh Dr. Ir. Rahmat Doni Widodo, S.T., M.T. dan beranggotakan Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. dan Drs. Sunyoto, M.Si. itu telah melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Pengabdian bertujuan untuk menciptakan dan menerapkan alat yang dapat menyederhanakan proses penyembelihan dan pengulitan kambing secara terpadu dan portable.

Tim pengabdian berharap, alat yang dirancang dan dikembangkan dapat diproduksi secara massal.

“Ini tidak hanya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mitra seperti “Putro Widodo” Semarang, tetapi juga untuk mendukung usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UKM) lain yang memerlukan alat serupa, seperti warung sate dan jasa penyediaan aqiqoh yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah,” ungkap Drs. Sunyoto, M.Si.

Keuntungan dari alat ini tidak hanya terbatas pada UKM, tetapi juga relevan dalam konteks perayaan Hari Raya Idul Adha. Ketika hampir setiap kampung dan masjid melaksanakan penyembelihan kambing dalam jumlah besar, alat ini dapat mempermudah pekerjaan dalam proses penyembelihan hewan qurban.

“Tidak semua orang memiliki keahlian dalam menyembelih dan menguliti kambing, dan inilah di mana alat portable tersebut menjadi solusi yang praktis,” jelas Dr. Ir. Rahmat Doni Widodo, S.T., M.T.

Salah satu tujuan jangka panjang proyek ini adalah mendiseminasikan alat inovatif tersebut ke berbagai masjid yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Melalui inovasi ini, UNNES telah berperan dalam memajukan teknologi dan memberikan solusi yang berguna bagi masyarakat luas, terutama dalam konteks penyembelihan hewan.

UNNES terus berkomitmen untuk menciptakan perubahan positif dan memberikan dampak yang nyata dalam mendukung perkembangan masyarakat di berbagai sektor.
