Dukung Keberagaman Budaya dan Keberlanjutan, UNNES Komitmen Gelar Festival Folklore

Program Studi Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menegaskan komitmennya untuk menyelenggarakan Festival Folklore Indonesia secara rutin setiap tahun. Festival ini bukan sekadar ajang seni budaya, tetapi juga menjadi bagian dari upaya berkelanjutan untuk merawat warisan budaya bangsa sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Kegiatan ini telah berlangsung selama dua tahun berturut-turut. Pada tahun 2024, Festival Folklore Indonesia diadakan di panggung terbuka dengan menggandeng Tim Laboratorium FBS UNNES sebagai mitra penyelenggara. Sementara pada tahun 2025, festival akan dilaksanakan pada Selasa, 3/6/2025 pukul 13.00-15.00 WIB yang bertempat di Lapangan Laboratorium Prof. Soegijono, Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK), Universitas Negeri Semarang

Penyelenggaraan tahun 2025 menghadirkan kolaborasi yang lebih luas dengan melibatkan Tim Konservasi UNNES, UKM Pusat Informasi Budaya (PIB), serta Komunitas Alas Kandri, komunitas budaya lokal yang aktif dalam pelestarian nilai-nilai tradisi masyarakat. Selain itu, atas inisiasi Tim Konservasi UNNES, festival tahun ini juga menggandeng sejumlah SD di Kota Semarang dalam penyelenggaraan lomba dolanan anak tradisional, seperti plintengan, gobak sodor, dan egrang. Kegiatan ini menjadi ruang edukatif bagi generasi muda untuk mengenal budaya bangsa melalui permainan yang penuh nilai kebersamaan.

Festival ini mengangkat kekayaan folklore Nusantara yang meliputi pertunjukan drama berbasis cerita rakyat, pengenalan permainan tradisional, hingga kesenian daerah. Festival ini menjadi ruang kolaborasi antar mahasiswa, dosen, komunitas budaya, pelajar, hingga masyarakat umum. Festival Floklore diharapkan memperkuat identitas budaya dan membangun kesadaran kolektif tentang pentingnya keberlanjutan tradisi lokal.

Kepala Program Studi Sastra Indonesia, Suseno, menyampaikan bahwa festival ini bukan hanya agenda akademik dan apresiasi seni, tetapi juga kontribusi konkret UNNES terhadap pencapaian SDGs poin 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas), poin 11 (Kota dan Permukiman yang Berkelanjutan), dan poin 17 (Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan).

“Melalui festival ini, kami mendorong generasi muda untuk mengenali, mencintai, dan melestarikan kekayaan budaya daerah. Hal ini sejalan dengan komitmen UNNES sebagai universitas konservasi dan kontribusi aktif kami terhadap pembangunan berkelanjutan, selain itu dokumentasi pada ig @festivalflokloreindonesia akan membuat acara ini tersiarkan lebih luas,” ujar Suseno.

Festival Folklore Indonesia juga menjadi bagian dari implementasi Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang sekarang menjadi kebijakan Kampus Berdampak, dengan memberi ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk terlibat dalam proyek berbasis budaya yang kontekstual dengan menjawab tantangan lokal dan global.
