Dua Mahasiswa UNNES Borong Medali Emas Dalam Kejuaraan Renang Antar Mahasiswa Se-Indonesia

Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) kembali berhasil menorehkan prestasi. Kali ini datang dari Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan yang berhasil menyabet 6 medali emas dalam kejuaraan renang antar mahasiswa se-Indonesia X di Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar yang digelar pada tanggal 7-9 Oktober 2022.

Mereka yakni Hanna Christina Purnaninda dan Febriana Wahyu Wijayanti turun dalam tiga nomor berbeda, dengan memborong medali emas

Hanna Christina Purnaninda berhasil menjadi juara dan meraih medali emas pada kategori 100m gaya kupu, 200m gaya ganti, dan 500m gaya kupu. Keberhasilannya meraih medali emas membawa Hanna menjadi perenang terbaik putri.

Febriana Wahyu Wijayanti yang juga berhasil mendapatkan medali emas pada 500m gaya bebas, 100m gaya bebas, dan 50m gaya punggung.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum merasa bangga dan mengapresiasi mahasiswa UNNES berhasil menyabet medali emas di kejuaraan Nasional.

“Saya sangat mengapresiasi mahasiswa UNNES yang tentunya luar biasa, terbukti mereka berhasil membawa nama UNNES. Tentu ini merupakan prestasi luar biasa yang diraih mahasiswa UNNES. Hal ini menandakan bahwa kualitas mahasiswa UNNES tidak kalah dengan yang lain,” jelasnya.

Prof Fathur mengatakan, UNNES tidak hanya fokus mendorong prestasi mahasiswa di bidang akademik, namun juga prestasi mahasiswa di bidang non akademik salah satunya olahraga. Tidak hanya renang, beberapa cabang olahraga lain juga terus didorong prestasinya.

“Kami dari pihak kampus mensyukuri dan berbangga atas prestasi yang mahasiswa ini. Kami mendorong agar mahasiswa yang lain juga mampu berprestasi ditingkat Nasional maupun Internasional,” paparnya.

Sungkowo SPd MPd selaku pembina menyampaikan kejuaraan renang antar mahasiswa se-Indonesia diikuti sebanyak 67 perguruan tinggi. Ia menjelaskan kejuaraan ini untuk mencari atlet yang berprestasi di tingkat mahasiswa.

Disampaikan lebih lanjut, raihan prestasi itu tentu menjadi sebuah kebangggan. Namun demikian, para atlet diharapkan bisa terus meningkatkan kualitas diri sehingga mampu tampil pada ajang lebih tinggi dan berhasil pula menorehkan prestasi, ungakpnya.

Sementara, Hanna Christina Purnaninda mengatakan puas dengan pencapaian ini yang merupakan hasil dari persiapan yang akhirnya meraih hasil yang membanggakan.

“Saya bersyukur dan merasa puas dengan hasil perlombaan ini. Mudah mudah ini dapat menjadi motivasi bagi saya khususnya dan teman-teman yang lain dalam semangat memicu langkah-langkah baru selanjutnya dalam menggapai prestasi,” jelasnya.
