Dua Anggota MAHAPALA UNNES Ikuti School of Rock Climbing Skygers Batch XXXI

Dua anggota MAHAPALA Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) di delegasikan dalam kegiatan School of Rock Climbing Skygers Batch XXXI yang diselenggarakan di Tebing Jegger, Desa Leuwikaret Bogor.

Kegiatan yang berlangsung dari tanggal 23 hingga 26 September 2021 ini diikuti oleh dua anggota MAHAPALA yakni Yulyas Tri Munawaroh dari jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi, dan Ahmad Zulfiqar dari jurusan Geografi.

Sekolah panjat tebing Skygers sendiri merupakan sekolah panjat yang berdiri sejak 44 tahun yang lalu.

Pemilik Panjat Tebing Skygers, Harry Suliztiarto mengatakan bahwa awal menggelar kursus atau sekolah tersebut untuk para pekerja di ketinggian dan tingginya angka kecelakaan kerja pada bangunan tinggi yang terjadi di tahun 2007 lalu.

Kemudian Skygers saat ini menangani 2 metode yaitu satu untuk panjat tebing bagi petualang dengan akses tali, satu lagi dengan akses struktur untuk pekerja bangunan tinggi.

School of Rock Climbing Skygers Batch XXXI ini adalah kegiatan sekolah panjat tingkat dasar yang didampingi oleh instruktur berpengalaman dengan beberapa materi diantaranya materi penambatan (management rope), lowering, turun 2 tali, multi pitch (pergantian leader tengah tali), hanging belay, pindah beban dan angkat beban, materi Ascending dan Descending, hingga Alpine style.

Para peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini akan mendapatkan beberapa keuntungan seperti antaranya pengetahuan dasar panjat tebing, saudara baru, bertemu dan berdiskusi langsung dengan tokoh dan bintang panjat tebing nasional serta mendapatkan sertifikat Skygers.

“Diharapkan dua anggota MAHAPALA yang mengikuti kegiatan School of Rock Climbing ini dapat memperoleh ilmu sebanyak-banyaknya mengenai ilmu panjat tebing, sehingga dapat disalurkan kepada anggota yang lain dan dapat mengembangkan divisi RC Caving di MAHAPALA,” kata Fadli selaku Ketua Umum MAHAPALA UNNES.
