DPM KM UNNES Siap Mengawal Kemajuan Mahasiswa

Pengurus baru Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa (DPM KM) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melakukan audiensi dengan Rektor UNNES hari ini (8/6) di Gedung H Rektorat UNNES Kampus Sekaran. Audiensi tersebut bertujuan untuk menguatkan funngsi DPM KM sebagai salah satu komponen penting lembaga kemahasiswaan di UNNES.

Ketua DPM KM UNNES tahun 2017, Muhamad Abdul Azizul Hakim, menyampaikan kepada Rektor tentang fungsi pokok DPM KM sebagai legislator sah lembaga kemahasiswaan UNNES. DPM KM juga memiliki hak dan wewenang untuk melakukan kontrol dan monitoring terhadap Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa (BEM KM) UNNES. DPM KM juga memiliki wewenang untuk menyusun rancangan Undang-undang yang digunakan untuk mengatur jalannya pemerintahan yang ada di Keluarga Mahasiswa UNNES. Hakim mengabarkan bahwa pada waktu yang tidak lama lagi, DPM KM dan BEM KM beserta unsur kemahasiswaan yang lain akan melakukan evaluasi semester pertama bagi pemerintahan BEM KM 2017. Pada kesempatan itu, DPM KM akan mendengarkan laporan pertanggungjawaban kinerja BEM KM selama periode tersebut.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum, menyambut baik audiensi perwakilan DPM KM. Rektor berpesan agar DPM KM dapat menjadi penyeimbang kekuasaan BEM KM dan mampu menjadi korektor kebijakan BEM KM apabila diperlukan. Keberadaan DPM KM dapat menjadi balancer dalam pemerintahan keluarga mahasiswa yang ada di UNNES. Rektor menutup pertemuan itu dengan mengingatkan bahwa DPM KM perlu melakukan sosialisasi besar-besaran melalui media sosial dan media lainnya karena masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum memahami keberadaan DPM KM. Rektor akan terus mendukung DPM KM dalam mengawal kemajuan mahasiswa melalui legislasi KM yang lebih baik.
