Dosen UNNES Sampaikan Math Trails dengan Teknologi Digital dalam Qatar Math Day 2024

Dosen Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) terus menunjukkan komitmen tanpa henti untuk meningkatkan reputasi akademik, berbagi ilmu, dan memperluas jaringan internasional. Salah satu wujud nyata dari dedikasi tersebut adalah kontribusi Dr. rer. nat. Adi Nur Cahyono, M.Pd., yang menjadi keynote speaker dalam Qatar Math Day, bagian dari Arab Mathematics Olympiad.

Acara yang berlangsung di Doha, Qatar, pada 10–14 November 2024, ini diinisiasi oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Tinggi Qatar. Dengan melibatkan guru matematika sekolah menengah atas, dosen di universitas, dan siswa sekolah menengah atas yang akan mengikuti Olimpiade Matematika negara-negara Arab, Qatar Math Day menyuguhkan seminar, pameran STEM, dan workshop yang berfokus pada inovasi di bidang pendidikan matematika.

Dalam seminar tersebut, Dr. Adi memaparkan materi bertajuk “Learning Math All Around Us in the Digital Age — from Real-World Trails to Immersive Adventures” yang merupakan hasil kerja kolaborasi antar peneliti dan praktisi dalam dan luar negeri yang tergabung dalam Centre for Research on Math Trails with Digital Technology (mathtrailslab.id), sebuah pusat studi lintas disiplin, lintas institusi, lintas negara yang mengkaji tentang Math Trails berbasis STEM Education dengan memanfaatkan Teknologi Digital, seperti: Mobile App, AR/VR, AI, Robotics/Drone, dan 3D Printing.

Selain itu, Dr. Adi juga memberikan workshop yang mengajarkan peserta untuk mendesain Math Trails menggunakan MathCityMap. Para peserta diajak mendesain jalur pembelajaran matematika di ruang terbuka, mengunggahnya ke portal MathCityMap, dan mensimulasikan penggunaannya melalui aplikasi. Lebih jauh, Adi dan timnya mendesain STEM Trails di Gurun Pasir di luar kota Doha bertema Desert Sand Dunes Trails, yang dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar interaktif sambil menjelajahi medan gurun menggunakan kendaraan off-road.

Partisipasi Dr. Adi di kancah internasional ini menjadi bukti nyata bahwa dosen UNNES mampu bersaing secara global. Diharapkan, kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan reputasi UNNES di dunia internasional, tetapi juga memberikan dampak positif bagi pengembangan pendidikan matematika di Indonesia.
