Dosen UNNES Latih Guru Menulis Buku

Lebih dari 60 guru dari berbagai sekolah di Kota Semarang mengikuti pelatihan menulis guru yang diselenggarakan dosen Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Jumat (27/7). Bagi guru, buku merupakan instrumen penting untuk melaksanakan tugas pembelajaran sekaligus mengembangkan diri.

Dalam pelatihan yang diselenggarakan di Ruang 106 FBS Unnes itu, guru dibimbing oleh dua dosen yaitu Dr Mukh Doyin dan Dr Wagiran Suwito.

Keduanya membimbing para guru menulis, mulai dari mengenali tipe-tipe buku, mengembangkan ide, hingga membuat kalimat yang bernas dan enak dibaca.

Dr Mukh Doyin mengungkapkan, tipe-tipe buku telah diatur antara lain dalam Permendiknas Nomor 2 Tahun 2008. Dari aturan tersebut terdapat berbagai jenis buku yang bisa ditulis agar diakui untuk pengembangan profesi.

“Inilah yang sering disebut buku pendidikan. Antara lain ada buku ajar, buku teks, buku referensi, buku penelitian, dan sebagainya,” kata doctor bidang pendidikan sastra itu.

Pengetahuan tentang jenis dan karakter buku menjadi penting karena sistematika dan teknik penulisannya berbeda.

Sementara itu, Dr Wagiran menjelaskan bahwa buku bisa dikembangkan dari hasil penelitian.

Menurutnya, guru biasanya telah memiliki penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian itu bisa dikemas menjadi buku antara lain dengan mengubah sistematika dan memopulerkan bahasanya.

“Bahasa karya ilmiah biasanya cenderung kaku dan panjang. Itu membuat pembaca kurang tertarik. Kalau diubah menjadi lebih pendek dan luwes, pembaca akan lebih muda memahaminya,” kata pria yang juga Kepala Divisi Penerbitan Unnes Press tersebut.

Selain dibimbing oleh dua dosen tersebut, dalam pelatihan itu juga hadir dua guru yang juga penulis, yaitu Dr Panca Dewi Purwati dan Irawan Haryo Gunadi.

Sebagai guru, baik Dr Panca Dewi maupun Irawan dikenal luas di komunitas guru Semarang berkat produktivitasnya menulis.
