Dosen UNNES dan UPGRIS Tingkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran IPA di Kabupaten Kendal

Tim dosen Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) bekerja sama dengan dosen Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, dan Teknologi Informasi (FPMIPATI) Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS) menggelar pelatihan inovatif bagi guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Kendal. Kegiatan ini berlangsung pada Sabtu, (27/07/2024) di SMP Negeri 1 Gemuh dan dihadiri oleh 50 guru IPA yang merupakan anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) IPA setempat.

Dipimpin oleh Dr. Suharto Linuwih, M.Si., tim pengabdian ini melibatkan empat dosen FMIPA UNNES yakni Dr. Sunyoto Eko Nugroho, M.Si., Dr. Ngurah Made Darma Putra, M.Si., dan Dr. Mahardika Prasetya Aji, M.Si. beserta Dr. Eny Hartadiyati W.H., M.Si., Med dari Universitas PGRI Semarang. Selain itu, dua mahasiswa prodi pendidikan fisika, Putri Mawardah dan Yekti Widyawati, turut berkontribusi dalam kegiatan ini. Kegiatan ini terselenggara berkat kerjasama anatar UNNES, UPGRIS, dan Ketua MGMP IPA Kabupaten Kendal, Abdul Mukti.

“Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran IPA melalui penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Kami ingin memastikan bahwa lebih banyak guru IPA yang memahami dan mampu mengimplementasikan metode inovatif sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka,” ujar Dr. Suharto.

Dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, diharapkan proses belajar mengajar akan lebih relevan dan kontekstual bagi siswa. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berfokus pada berbagai aspek, mulai dari informasi mengenai pembelajaran berdiferensiasi hingga diskusi kasus-kasus yang telah dilaksanakan oleh peserta.

Selama sesi, para guru aktif berpartisipasi dalam diskusi dan berbagi pengalaman tentang implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Tim pengabdian memberikan arahan dan umpan balik yang konstruktif, membantu guru merancang perangkat pembelajaran yang efektif.

Kegiatan ini tidak hanya berhenti pada pelatihan, tetapi juga mencakup pendampingan partisipatif dalam implementasi pembelajaran di kelas. Dengan pendekatan berbasis kinerja, para guru didorong untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Uji coba produk pembelajaran dilakukan di kelas masing-masing, diikuti oleh refleksi dan evaluasi untuk mengidentifikasi keunggulan dan kelemahan desain yang telah diterapkan.

“Melalui kolaborasi ini, kami berharap dapat mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkualitas dan bermakna bagi masyarakat, serta mempersiapkan guru-guru untuk menyongsong Indonesia Emas,” tambah Dr. Suharto.

Dengan komitmen untuk terus mendukung guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membawa perubahan positif dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya di Kabupaten Kendal.
