Dosen UNNES Berikan Guest Lecture di Dua Universitas Ternama di Tiongkok

Dua dosen Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melakukan guest lecture di Central China Normal University (CCNU) dan Huazhong Science and Technology (HUST) Wuhan, China (16-17 Mei 2017) yang lalu.

Mereka yakni Dr Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas ST MT (Staf Ahli Rektor bidang Kerja Sama dan Internasionalisasi, yang juga dosen Jurusan Teknik Kimia Fakultas Teknik) dan Farid Ahmadi SKom MKom PhD Jurusan PGSD Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP).

Guest lecture yang pertama kedua dosen tersebut berbicara di depan seluruh mahasiswa Indonesia yang sedang menempuh studi di berbagai perguruan tinggi di kota Wuhan, Provinsi Hubei, China.

Kegiatan guest lecture diikuti oleh hampir 50 pelajar dan mahasiswa Indonesia yang tergabung dalam Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) Tiongkok Cabang Wuhan. Dengan topik menggapai kesuksesan dan bagaimana mendapatkan beasiswa dari seluruh penjuru dunia, para peserta guest lecture sangat antusias dan secara interaktif mereka banyak mendiskusikan berbagai hal terkait dengan beasiswa.

Hari berikutnya Dr Ratna melaksanakan guest lecturer di Huazhong Science and Technology (HUST) di hadapan para professor, peneliti, dan mahasiswa doktor/ master yang tergabung dalam grup riset “China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy (ICARE)” dengan topik “Advances in Biodiesel Production Using Reactive Distillation”.

Kegiatan guest lecture di HUST ini diselenggarakan oleh International Office di kampus tersebut. Melalui kegiatan guest lecture tersebut diharapkan UNNES semakin menguatkan tagline-nya menjadi universitas yang bereputasi di tingkat Internasional, khususnya dalam bidang riset dan akademik.

Selain memberikan guest lecture, kedua dosen tersebut juga mengunjungi laboratory school yang berafiliasi pada CCNU untuk melakukan observasi mengenai pembelajaran, fasilitas, manajemen, dan berbagai aspek penyelenggaraan kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah setingkat SD tersebut.

Observasi ini dilakukan untuk dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai komparasi Laboratory School di Indonesia dan di China dalam rangka pelaksanaan program revitalisasi LPTK.

Jajaki Kerja Sama
Kunjungan ke China juga dimaksudkan untuk melakukan penjajakan kerja sama di beberapa universitas ternama di Kota Wuhan China, yaitu di Central China Normal University (CCNU), Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST), dan Huazhong Agricultural University (HZAU).

Inisiasi kerja sama ini menghasilkan rencana implementasi kerja sama dalam bentuk program dual degree antara UNNES dengan CCNU, joint research dan program dual degree antara UNNES dengan HUST, student exchange dan joint research antara UNNES dengan HZAU.

Rencana kegiatan kerja sama ini akan dilanjutkan dengan penandatangan MoU dan pembahasan terperinci mengenai kesepakatan implementasi kerja sama yang akan dilaksanakan antara kedua belah pihak.
