Dorong Implementasi Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, KJRI Jeddah dan UNNES Perkuat Kerja Sama Kelembagaan

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) dan Konsulat Jenderal Republik Indonesia (KJRI) di Jeddah, Arab Saudi terus mendorong terjalinnya kerja sama kelembagaan yang diharapkan dapat berdampak bagi banyak pihak.

Salah satu upaya ini diwujudkan melalui pendantanganan Nota Kesepahaman atau Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) tentang Kerja Sama di Bidang Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat serta Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) pada Kamis (8/10).

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan, kerja sama UNNES dengan berbagai mitra stretegis menjadi wujud keseriusan dalam mencapai visi besar sebagai universitas yang bereputasi internasional.

“Kerja sama UNNES dan KJRI di Jeddah telah berlangsung sejak tahun 2017. Di tahun 2017, kita menyelenggarakan workshop kurikulum 2013 bagi guru di Sekolah Indonesia Jeddah (SIJ), Program Professors Goes to School, serta pelatihan kepemimpinan bertumbuh bagi mahasiswa Indonesia di Kerajaan Arab Saudi,” jelas Profesor Sosiolinguistik itu.

Tak hanya itu, imbuhnya, pada tahun 2018, UNNES juga memberikan pengajaran BIPA bagi pengusaha dan haji/umroh guide di KSA, Visiting Professor Program di KSA, dan program dosen UNNES mengajar di Jeddah. Sementara di tahun 2019, kerja sama UNNES dan KJRI Jeddah diwujudkan melalui Program Professor UNNES Goes to School dan pemberian beasiswa bagi mahasiswa.

“MoU ini akan memperkuat kerjasama yang telah terjalin selama 3 tahun terakhir. Semoga melalui kerja sama ini, khususnya dalam praktik Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, UNNES dan KJRI Jeddah bisa memberikan manfaat bagi banyak pihak dan mendukung pembangunan di Indonesia,” harap Rektor.

Dalam kegiatan yang diselenggarakan secara virtual ini, turut hadir Konsul Jenderal RI di Jeddah Drs Eko Hartono MPP.

“KJRI di Jeddah dan UNNES memiliki kesamaan visi, yakni memberikan layanan terbaik bagi masyakarat, bagi bangsa dan negara. Apa yang telah UNNES berikan berupa beasiswa sungguh amat berharga. Semoga dengan adanya program beasiswa dari UNNES bagi siswa kami ini akan mampu memutus mata rantai kemiskinan,” harap Eko Hartono MPP.

Kami, imbuhnya, siap mengundang Bapak Rektor beserta jajaran pimpinan UNNES untuk hadir mendisuksikan lebih lanjut mengenai program dan skim kerja sama terbaru yang bisa kita kembangan bersama-sama.

Setelah penandatanganan MoU, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi antar lembaga yang dipandu oleh Plt. Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama Dr Hendi Pratama MA.

Bagi UNNES, menjalin kemitraan strategis akan mendorong pencapaian visi besar sebagai universitas berwawasan konservasi dan bereputasi internasional. UNNES selalu konsisten untuk menjalin kerja sama dengan berbagai pihak yang bermuara pada kontribusi dan sumbangsih bagi bangsa dan negara.
