Dikti Sediakan Beasiswa bagi Mahasiswa yang Ingin Studi ke Luar Negeri

Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional (Dikti) siap memberikan beasiswa kepada mahasiswa Indonesia yang ingin belajar ke luar negeri.

Direktur Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan Dikti Prof Dr Supriadi Rustad MSi mengemukakan hal itu pada pertemuan lembaga mitra Usintec untuk membahas pelaksanaan dual master degree program di Gedung H lantai IV Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Sabtu (11/6).

“Segera saja perwakilan perguruan tinggi mitra Usintec merekrut calon mahasiswa yang akan mengikuti program dual master degree,” kata mantan Pembantu Rektor I Unnes itu.

Menurut Sue Dechow, direktur eksekutif dari US/Indonesia Konsorsium Pendidikan Guru (Usintec), program dual master degree direncanakan selama empat semester. Semester pertama di Indonesia, semester kedua dan ketiga di Amerika pada program studi pendidikan dasar, pendidikan bahasa Inggris, dan pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) di Ohio State University (Ohio), Indiana University (IU), serta University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Semester keempat ditempuh di Indonesia untuk mengerjakan tesis.

Pembantu Rektor IV Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rohman MHum menegaskan, tahun ini baru Unnes yang membuka kelas program dual master degree dengan mahasiswa 7 orang. “Perkuliahan dilaksanakan di kampus Pascasarjana Unnes,” kata Pak Fathur.

Pertemuan bertema “Usintec Bi-annual Meeting for Partner Institution: The Implementation of the Usintec International Dual Master’s Degree Program” itu dihadiri wakil 12 perguruan tinggi negeri eks IKIP, yakni Universitas Negri Semarang (Unnes), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unnesa), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG), Universitas Negeri Makasar (UNM), Universitas Negeri Manado (Unima), Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed), Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), dan Universitas Terbuka (UT).

Dalam pertemuan itu juga dibahas rencana perpanjangan MoU serta MoA mengenai program dual master degree antara Usintec dan 12 perguruan tinggi mitra di Indonesia yang telah berakhir. Dengan adanya MoU dan MoA, diharapkan bisa kerja sama Indonesia dan Amerika dalam bidang peningkatan mutu pendidikan terus berkembang.

Yang menarik dalam pertemuan ini, banyak persoalan yang belum ditemukan solusinya, misalnya masalah persetujuan internal (MoU dan MoA), perekrutan mahasiswa, perencanaan pengiriman dari program core di Unnes, pendanaan, serta penyeragaman kurikulum.

Namun, dalam pertemuan ini bisa ditemukan solusi-solusi dari masalah yang dihadapi tersebut.
